I have a deep and shameful love for working out to Christina Aguilera. I don't know why, I just love her; I make CDs of all her really thumping songs. She has a new one called "Still Dirty" which is great. Plus "Fighter" is such a motivating workout song.

I love changing up my workout playlist... it keeps me motivated to go to the gym and workout. I buy new songs or remix my playlist with old song i haven't heard in a while ...and then i don't listen to the playlist until i'm actually on a treadmill or elliptical. it works me for. anyway...here's what i have on my playlist right now ... mostly rock and dance tunes.

"Island in the Sun" ~ Weezer
"Santa Monica" ~ Everclear
"Virtual Insanity" ~ Jamiroquai
"I Come From the Water" ~ The Toadies
"Running Down a Dream" ~ Tom Petty
"Go" ~ Pearl Jam
"Sunday Morning" ~ No Doubt
"Do It To It" ~ Cherish
"Take Me Out" ~ Franz Ferdinand
"Dirty Little Secret" ~ All-American Rejects
"Promiscuous" ~ Nelly Furtado
"Let's Get Loud" ~ Jennifer Lopez
"Meant to Live" ~ Switchfoot
"Pump It" ~ Black Eyed Peas
"Song 2" ~ Blur

Also: If you use iTunes to listen to music on your MP3 player -- there's a free podcast called Podrunner -- mostly continuous dance mix/house music.... good for a little bit but I usually need more diversity in my workout playlist.

No time to list my faves, but in the sense of a quick post by any of you listen to the free workout mixes they have at nikewomen.com...? They are phenominal. Each month they have a new 30 minute mix...they are great. Oh and you can download free workout mixes at fitpod.com as well. They tell you how many beats per minute so you can coordinate with the type of workout you are doing.

i love to workout to 80's rock.
Guns n Roses' CD Illusion 2 is my favorite, esp track #5 called Get in the Ring. A Bon Jovi mix with It's My life and Have a Nice day etc is good too. Oh, and sometimes Nirvana. It's the yelling and the guitar, keeps me motivated, makes me push harder.

I'm absolutely loving the rogue traders - voodoo child at the minute. It's out in the UK but not sure about anywhere else, they're an Australian dance group.

Also, "Monster" by the Automatic really gets me going.

A lot of the songs on my workout playlist have been listed already!
Gotta love some 80s tunes too: You Spin Me Round by Dead and Alive (or something like that!) is good, OH and kittycat Dolls, not only is their music quite catchy but they have amazing bodies which is just as motivating!
