Wow...you know, I'm really sorry that I was trying to pass on my knowledge. I did not intend to upset anyone. I think I tried to explain the methods that we used and then I beleive I also explained that the best method is to try on bras. Again, I'm really sorry. Never thought that I knew everything....

I think for me, I would have to go to a larger city to find anything. It's the same to find a bathing suit (two piece) as well. I tried some of the fancy bra stores in town and they go up to like a D haha MAYBE a DD. I bought a bathing suit and my pops kinda spill over the top (muffin top boobs!) but I needed a bathing suit so I have to keep fixing them up, haha - its a pain :(

Hi, I was home on Monday and caught the Oprah show. The whole episode was about bras, I think it was a rerun but it was very informative. Here is a link to the show:
http://www.oprah.com/tows/pastshows/...050520_c.jhtml There are some helpful tips - like how to eliminate back fat (my problem) |

And cheercoach... I am sorry; I certainly was not trying to offend you, nor was I trying to be obnoxious. I am sure your info was very helpful to and appreciated by many. It just doesn't WORK for some of us. When the straps are 2" or 3" too short to go over your shoulders, it IS frustrating that the manufacturers simply will not make them to fit a variety of women... but it's the same with ALL women's clothing; not just bras. Again, I am sorry my comments came across as offensive. |
I went to a site once that said i should be a 38F. Eh?? I am sitting here in an absolutely perfect 36B. Guess certain methods arent uniformly for everyone.

This is the site that told me I needed a 50 DDD  http://www.afraidtoask.com/breast/br...suringcup.html |
Your link just said that I'm a 36 C when what fits me best is a 34 DD. If I round down instead of up then it puts me in the right size. I don't think I've fit into a C cup since I was 14, and that was a stretch. Of course my size is impossible to find. I wish stores would differentiate between "full figure" and plus size, or have a separate full busted section. Anything larger than a D is pretty universally not sold in most stores. I couldn't but a single bra my size in my hometown which really sucked.

OK, so I went to Macy's and got measured today.
Either that lady was on crack or pregnancy and nursing and yoyodieting have taken a lot out of me, LITERALLY!!! When I worked at Victoria's Secret in HS I was a 34DD. Today she measured me at a 38B!?! B?!!!! No wonder I'm swimming in the 38D's I've been wearing. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *dies*. |
I have no idea what bra size I am...but I know I probably have lost a cup size. Right now, I'm wearing bandeau bras which are great...mine are all strapless and soooo comfortable. The sizes are S-L. Well...maybe XL, I'm not sure...but for now that I'm changing bandeaus are the way to go for me!

By the time I actually lose all the weight I'd like to I probably won't have any boobs left ;) Maybe I won't even have to mess with wearing one!

I'm new here but back to bras...some websites have detailed searches for bra features to pinpoint what works for you. Check this one http://www.onehanesplace.com/webapp/...der.d2w/report
The one currently pictured, Bali Double Support Wirefree , s supposed to be the number one selling full figured bra in America. The same bra and varieties close to it fit me acceptably for a 30lb. weight range. It also works well for those of us who have the one side bigger than the other problem. |
P.S. I also buy a bunch of bras mailorder and try them on at home and then send back the ones that I don't like. Since bras don't weigh that much I pay the postage to return what doesn't work and try again. To me it is less trouble to mail them back than to go to the stores and have a much more limited selection of larger sized bras. Plus you get to try them on in the privacy of your own home.
