Job Well Done

I just wanted to write a little post for all you ladies out there who:

Give up Saturday morning for exercise

Eat salad, while everyone else is eating hamburgers

Live religiously with Pam cooking spray instead of vegetable oil

Work at your job, then come home and work some more

Carry around their own salad dressing or calculators for calorie counting

Pass up the wonderful baked goods at the grocery store

Try to fit in calorie burning activites in your everyday tasks

Have goals big and small

Gotten into one size smaller pants

Notice their clothes getting baggier

Will substitute as many things on a resturaunt menu as they can

Know that starvation is not the answer and health is the key.

I just wanted to say that I am proud, of all of us. For the steps we are trying to take to better our lives and ourselves. Whether that be to be slim and trim for your 21st birthday, lose that baby weight, or just feel better.

I am proud to be a part of this group, it has helped me SO much. But I figured all of you needed a pat on the back this week.

Feel free to add your own dieting & weight loss quirks to the list...

Love ya ladies!!

Carrie

Cheercoach - This name suits you! Thanks, I needed that I was just feeling a little low today.

You are so sweet, thank you for that. Don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back as well.

Awww thanks for making me feel good! You have me in there "slim and trim for your 21st birthday" I am doing my very best! I get up at 5:30am to ride my bike before work, it makes for a long day but it is paying off!

Way to go everyone for all your hard work!

that is so nice! :D

i find it amusing that:

- i spend more time sitting/laying on the floor stretching or doing sit ups than sitting on the couch

- my soft drink is replaced with cool, refreshing, unflavoured water

- i get a little too excited at a new low cal/low fat/low carb food product on the shelf that i can't wait to tell everyone about it

- my definition of indulgence now is a choc chip cookie containing 1g of fat

- instead of having a cigarette (or now a nicorette gum) when i get stressed, i go for a walk or have a big glass of that cool, refreshing water

- 'before' my definition of a good workout was a 20 minute walk around the block. it is now a 60 minute fast walk and a 30 minute weight session.

- before reading the local newspaper, i read the 3FC forums to see what is going on in "my world"

thanks for all your support ladies

What a fabulous post :)

sotypical, i was going to add...

Get up before the sun (even in the summertime!) to get in a workout

Would rather go to dinner in their gym clothes than skip a workout and go looking fab in their real clothes

Have only one serious relationship, and that's with their running shoes ;)
