who said fro yo doesn't make you feel better?

  • Ok - So i'm like at the grocery store, and depressed and decide I need some comfort food - in comes ben and jerry fro yo fish food to the rescue.
I was upset about several things - and my knee has been hurting - and it's late, so running, not in the question. But anyway - I came home, plopped on the couch watched an episode (dare I admit it) of CSI and ate about 1/3 of hte container. Seriously - I felt like uber better - less tired, more happy - everything - I will not put my faith in fro you again, but I guess I just needed an easy endorphin lift. Not that I am losing weight. But anyway. It did lift my spirits.. just sayin. (and as i was driving in I was telling myself food would not make me happier)
  • You know, sometimes it does make you feel better

Personally I think as long as you know you're doing it, know the consequences, then every once in a while a treat makes you feel better.

    Glad you feel better.
  • You did good. I would have eaten the whole container.
  • Haha...seriously though, I am trying to use food as a reward when I REALLY want it, as opposed to just eating things because it's there or I have enough calories for it. Like last night I had frozen yogurt even though I didn't really want it because it was there and I had enough calories. Having real ice cream when I'm craving it would be much more satisfying!
  • B&J's froyo/sugar free/low cal/whatever line is actually really good. It has been proven that a little sugar can give you a temp boost.

I so would've eaten the entire pint...
  • Me, too...there's a reason I don't buy B&J unless it's really an occasion...
  • yep, TCBY always makes me happy, I figure if I want it bad enough to drive there to get it, then the 3 WW points is usually OK...sometimes ya just gotta to keep from buying a half gallon of real ice cream and eating the whole thing.
