starting to count calories ....
this week I started watching what i've been eating.
i decided starting today, that i'm going to start counting my calories. I've decided on a 1200 a day limit. does anyone know of any good sites (sorry if this was posted) or even refrences here to find certain foods .. like deli meats that dont have the serving size/calories on it and whatnot? thanks so much ladies :D |
I don't count my calories really but I do watch what i eat.. MOST days, I do fine. I"m not sure of any sites that have the nutritional info .. i'd be curious to look as well.

actually, my friend (she posts here sometimes too) just gave me a great link.
http://www.calorieking.com/ you just put in what you want to look for in the search box and it brings it up! they even have the calories and stuff for subway subs and whatnot :) |
Cool site Jamie. Good luck with your counting :D

Wonderful! Thanks!!

I have never seen Calorie King before, but another good site is www.fitday.com
this also has calorie counting- choose whole meals or parts of it, but it also has an online journal and fitness tracker and graph to show weight reduction, etc. |
|
actually I found one other one I REAALY like- spark people.coom It lets you keep a journal of foods, weight training, measurements, etc.

I'm a calorie counter but just a warning, whenever possible go with something you know the exact calories on because it can HUGELY vary and if you are eating something that is a common food and a couple hundred calories off that can add up to BIG numbers! That being said, if you use a calorie counting program they usually have general info for most foods. I use Nutridiary but a lot of people like Fitday, which I started out using.
