Sun Chips?
Anyone else like to snack on them? I noticed on the bag that they say 30% less fat then regular potato chips. And they are made from multi-grain.
Anyone know if they REALLY ARE healthier for you? I'd hate to be snacking on them (i'll eat them with my sandwhich at lunch. Normally, I only have a small handful so its not like i'm going overboard with them and eating a whole bag  ) if they arent really better for me. TIA! And sorry for all the newbie questions ;) |
Sun Chips can be considered better than regular potato chips, here's an oz by oz comparison
1 oz regular potato chips: 150 cal, 10g fat, 1g fiber 1 oz SunChips: 140 cal, 6g fat, 2g fiber If you only had those two options, then yes, SunChips are better. But consider this: 1 oz baked potato crisps (Lays): 110 cal, 1.5g fat, 2g fiber :D Much better here! They also have baked tortilla chips! Hope that helps! :) |
Oh man, the Lays are A LOT better! 1.5g of fat compared to 6g! WHOA!
I'm def going to have to look into getting them the next time we go grocery shopping! :D Thanks! That helped a lot! |
the baked lays are awesome! i've gotten the baked doritos and the baked nachos. they are yummy.
|
Let me play the devil's advocate here...and say Sun Chips are the best!!!!
Baked chips suck. Eww. They taste like paper with seasoning on them. (I'm so bad, I know) |
The baked chips are great if you get the flavored and dont mind diet-tasting food too much. I really like getting the plain ones and getting fat free chip dip! its yummy.
|
I like both the baked lay's AND sun chips. They're both great snacks and relatively low calories. They don't do much for filling you up.. but hey, if I can have a bag of chips and not ruin my calorie intake for the day, I'm ALL for it.
