Vitamins
I'm sure this has been posted before...
Do you take vitamins and or supplements? What kind? Right now I'm taking the womens one a day and a 600mg calcium. And more recently I've been taking fish oil supplements, but I'm unsure about them. |
... can i ask why you are unsure about them?

I am taking "One a day weight smart, 1300 Vit-D, 1950 calcium, VIt C, and flax seed in my diet for the omegas....
|
I always say I'm going to buy some vitamins and then I get to the store and totally forget.
|
I use a greens powder and trace mineral drops because my body doesn't really break down the vitamins in pill form, a lot of people's body's don't. The more I get into the classes for my degree, the more I don't think that vitamins aren't necessary in most cases (note most) although I do think that the omega's are good to take if you don't get them in your diet in the quantity needed. You just have to be really careful about the brand since NONE of that stuff is FDA regulated. And calcium suppliments are best in chewable form if that's possible (like Viactive). Ok, my 2 cents!

I take the one a day weight smart as well.

I recently started taking the Oil Of Olay complete woman's multivitamins and the even complexion vitamins they have. I dunno, I love Oil Of Olay.
|
I take them. I have dietpower, which logs all your vitamin/mineral intake. I found even on days when everything I put in my mouth was healthy I was at a low percentage of PDA on several vitamins, especially iron. I just take regular women's one a day. I also take a super omega capsule and viactiv calcium chews.

I take One A Day Carbsmart. I also take Biotine to pep me up more, and Cranberry to keep me clean! LOL

I’m currently taking Women’s one a Day/Weight Smart every morning. Other then that nothing else but in the future I would like to start taking more supplements. I’m still struggling with making this a habit.

There was recently (within the last month) a report in the Wall Street Journal that additional supplements beyond a multivitamin do not benefit you and may actually cause more harm than good, so be careful not to overdo the supplements. |
