Jill: Wow! Good luck with those interviews! I need a new job -- maybe I should post my resume on Monster...
As for the weekend, I have a softball game tonight. Even though we're not very good, it's fun. I play with my BF and the whole team is good friends. Tomorrow, I think I am going to check out the Yankees spring training if it doesn't rain. I love baseball (and the Yankees) -- I can't wait! :D Also, I think there is talk of going out dancing sometime. Should be fun! I love the weekends! :cb: Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend! Take care, Jina |

Oh ladies. I am so lame. Ever since December 8th I have not really lost. Up and down a few pounds. From 158 to 162, up and down up and down. I am totally sabotaging myself now that I am at that "comfortable" weight that I have been used to most of my life. I was trying to not count calories and it was going ok, until cookie binges and just being in denial about what I was eating all together. I am so mad at myself I can barely stand it. Anyhow, I decided that today (yes a Friday, unbelievable I am not saying I'll just start Monday), I am going to try and do low carb (even though I hate low carb in general) to try and jump start my weight loss, and start using my Fitday PC at least for a couple weeks. I am so sick of myself, but if I keep wallowing I'll head right back up to 190 I just know it. I am just darn luck I haven't gained more than just a couple! Please send me good vibes, I don't know what my deal is! :sp: :stress: :tantrum: :censored: :faint: :bomb: :headache: :hot:  :snooty: :halfempty :sumo: :rollpin: :coach: :crossed:

Stephanie, I think everyone needs a little motivation boost after dieting for a while...it gets old very quickly! My advice would be start writing down EVERYTHING just like I'm sure you did when you were first dieting, and get some excercise this weekend! Whenever I'm in a funk, I like to try new recipes or new workout classes at my gym. Good luck, though I know you don't need it :)

Put me on the list of people who needs a kick in the rear end...LOL. :p I took a 6 mile power walk for 90 min. today, and it was gorgeous outside...my eating is usually great when I exercise. Exercise tends to be an appetite suppresant for me and also reminds me of how hard I'm working to make myself healthy and not blow it on eating junk.
I also met/exceeded my exercise goal of 1500 min. today. Now, I am going to try to get as close to 2000 as I can. I'm also almost halfway to my bronze award in the Presidential Challenge. Remember, Summer :sunny: is just around the corner...:coach: Let's get in shape so we can look good in our bathing suits, tank tops & shorts! Does anybody have any vacay plans yet? We're so close to California that we'll probably be taking a trip to the beach :beach: this summer, and my parents just bought a timeshare at this new resort north of Phoenix so maybe we'll spend some time up there...they have a spa and horseback riding, among other things. Of course, we have our own pool so we'll be spending a lot of time in our backyard soaking up the sun and inhaling chlorine and coconut-scented tanning oil fumes.... I want to hear everybody else's summer vacation plans, even if it's just swimming in your community pool. Have a good day, girls! |
Stephanie, don't be so hard on yourself! Everyone gets stuck in a rut sometimes. I agree with miss michelle. Start writing everything down again and measuring portions. Going back to basics is a good way to jump-start yourself. It's also ok if you want to be on "maintenace" for a while and then take another weight loss step.
Jillybean, I'll be wishing it's a lot colder when it's 100+ degrees May-September! See, not having a long winter has a trade-off. Have a good weekend all! |
Thanks for the comments everyone. I made it through today...low cal, low carb (feel like crap by the way, I hate it), even worked out, woooo hooooo.
Summer, hmmmm. I am taking Anatomy and Physiology I & II, then after the 2 summer sessions are over I am getting married and going to VEGAS for the honeymoon, totally can't wait for that. We're gonna stay at New York, New York! As a side plan for the summer, I wanna go bathing suit shopping for the first time, without crying, and not buying a black, tankini with board shorts bottom. I want a cute one for once! I didn't even go swimming last summer, literally, not once, and I live in Phoenix for pete's sake! |
I have not been around in awhile, My computer fried and I have been a workaholic lately. I have been at a stand still weight wise. After being diagnosed Insulin resistant, I started on Glucophage and am stead loosing weight again so that is a good thing. I jsut wanted to stop and say hello to you all and wish you a wonderful week.
