boots

hey - ok so one thing about being overweight is not being able to find boots with calves that fit you - has anyone found any Stylish boots with bigger calfs? (that are comfortablish ;) )

I got a pair at Bass that fit pretty well. I have huge calves (but muscular) so that is always a problem for me.

I haven't bought any but I did try a pair on at Bass for kicks over the holidays... They were a little snug but not terribly uncomfortable. Ended up buying a different pair of shoes there. I heart that store. :)

The ONLY boots I've ever been able to wear are the Cloud Walkers from The Avenue. I found this GREAT pair that were knee-high, and had a stretch calf so it fit really well. Unfortunately, it seems like avenue.com aren't offering boots at the moment for some reason. Maybe you could find some in the stores still. They have a good reputation of being really comfortable, but a little on the pricey side. No one ever said looking good is always cheap :D

thanks gals - I will try them all - one day I'll be fashionable ;)

Silhouettes.com used to have them, but I haven't been to their site in ages so I don't know what they have now...try doing a google search for "wide calf" boots, and you should find something...

Like Liz, I've always had muscular calves. I bought mine at Shoe Pavilion.
