Cool January Challenge!!!

Good, this is awesome, I did pretty well last month on my challenge, but Christmas and New Year's killed me... I know I can do it this month, I am all pumped up again. I will come back and edit this with all of my days.

Ok, so last month, I go about 1100 minutes, I just know I could do better this month and I am pumped. I am going to make my goal: 1400 minutes.

Wink I will make it this month!

I really punked out at the end of December and didn't finish. So, this month, I WILL DO THIS! I'm gonna go for 1500 again, and if I make the goal, I'm going to get a massage at the end of the month!

I am semi-new so this is my first challange! I think I might go for the gusto, and try for 1500 minutes! I am most likely going on a weekend beach vacation in march...I NEED (and WILL) lose some weight by then. Good luck for eveyone!

Well I'm glad I stumbled across this posting.....I have been reading many postings for a couple of hours, just enjoying myself browsing and liked this challenge!

I am in! I think I will start off with 1000mins for this month though as I will be travelling to Mexico for a week in the middle of the month!

Jan 2: 90 mins of sliding...k this has to count it was bruetal walking up that hill!...did more now yahoo! 40mins carmen electra striptease & 30 min extreme makeover workout

Hey all, I'm new and hope you guys don't mind if I join. I never really challenge myself physically, so I thought I might give it a try. I'm going for 1000 minutes this month.

January 1: ~33 minutes of walking on the treadmill
January 2: 35 minutes on treadmill
January 3: 37 minutes on treadmill
January 4: 36 minutes on treadmill
January 5: 37 minutes on treadmill
January 6: 37 minutes on treadmill
January 7: 51 minutes on treadmill
January 8: 41 minutes on treadmill
January 9: 40 minutes WATP
January 10: None
January 11: 40 minutes WATP

I'm going for 1500 minutes this month.

Jan 1st -- 40 min walk with the dog, 10 min stationary bike, 20 min lower body exercises (21-day challenge) --> 70 min
Jan 2nd -- 10 min stationary bike, 20 min lower body exercises, 45 min walk with the dog (incl. 5 min run) --> 75 min
Jan 3rd -- 10 min stationary bike, 25 min exercises --> 35 min
Jan 4th -- 10 min stationary bike, 25 min exercises --> 35 min
Jan 5th -- sick
Jan 6th -- 20 min stationary bike, 24 min exercises --> 44 min
Jan 7th -- 50 min walk, 10 min stationary bike, 23 min exercises --> 73 min
Jan 8th -- 1.5 hr walk/hike in the woods (various grades), 60 min swimming, 10 min stationary bike, 26 min exercises --> 186 min

week 1 total --> 518 min

Jan 9 -- 15 min walk, 10 min stationary bike, 20 min exercises --> 45 min
Jan 10 -- 10 min stationary bike, 20 min exercises --> 30 min
Jan 11 -- back pain managed a couple minutes on the stationary bike
Jan 12 -- same
Jan 13 -- 90 min swimming --> 90 min
Jan 14 -- 90 min swimming --> 90 min
Jan 15 -- 2.5 hrs hike, 60 min swimming --> 210 min

week 2 total --> 465 min

Jan 16 - 10 min stationary bike, 20 min lunch walk*, 90 min Ashtanga Yoga, 18 min exercises --> 138 min
Jan 17 - 10 min stationary bike, 40 min walk with the dog, 18 min exercises --> 68 min
Jan 18 - 10 min stationary bike, 90 min swimming --> 80 min
Jan 19 - 10 min stationary bike, 20 min exercises --> 30 min
Jan 20 - 10 min stationary bike, 20 min exercises --> 30 min
Jan 21 - 10 min stationary bike, 20 min exercises, 30 min swimming --> 60 min
Jan 22 - sick

week 3 total --> 406

Jan 23 - 1.5 hrs Yoga, 10 min stationary bike, 30 min exercises --> 130 min
Jan 24 - 15 min badminton, 10 min stationary bike, 15 min exercises --> 40 min
Jan 25 - 15 min badminton, 10 min walk --> 25 min
Jan 26 - 1.5 hrs swimming (did 100 laps!) --> 90 min
Jan 27 - 1.5 hrs hiking & walking (forest and beach) --> 90 min
Jan 28 - 60 min walk --> 60 min
Jan 29 - 2 hrs sightseeing (walking) --> 120 min
Jan 30 - 45 min walk --> 45 min
Jan 31 - 90 min Ashtanga Yoga --> 90 min

rest of month total --> 690

monthly total - (518 + 465 + 406) + 690 --> 2079

*walks counted only if I wouldn't have walked otherwise - i.e. a walk to run errands does not count

I'll join in too. I'm pretty new around here, so this is my first challenge. I am setting my goal at 1200 minutes this month...

January 01 - 110 total - 60 minutes walking the doggies, 50 minutes (3 mile) WATP
January 02 - 165 total - 55 minutes (4 mile) WATP
January 03 - 225 total - 50 minutes (3 mile) WATP, 10 minutes Pilates
January 04 - 295 total - 50 minutes (3 mile) WATP, 20 minutes Pilates
January 05 - 330 total - 35 minutes (2 mile) WATP
January 06 - 430 total - 65 minutes (4 mile) WATP, 35 minutes Crunch yoga
January 07 - 475 total - 45 minutes (2 miles) walking the doggies
January 08 - 555 total - 45 minutes (3 mile) WATP, 35 minutes strength training
January 09 - 595 total - 40 minutes Biggest Loser DVD
January 10 - 665 total - 70 minutes (5 mile) WATP
January 11 - 750 total - 20 minutes (1 mile) walk, 65 minutes (4 mile) WATP
January 12 - 835 total - 20 minutes (1 mile) walk, 65 minutes (4 mile) WATP

January 19 - 1365 total - 30 minutes (2 mile) WATP, 15 minutes strength, 10 minutes stretching
January 20 - 1425 total - 60 minutes lifting and hauling (MOVING - conservative time estimate, probably it was a lot more!)
January 21 - 1545 total - 120 minutes lifting and hauling (MOVING - conservative time estimate)
January 22 - 1620 total - 60 minutes lifting and hauling (MOVING - conservative time estimate), 15 minutes (1 mile) WATP
