Ahhh, all the pictures are so cute!! I can't have animals in the dorm, but at home I have 4 cats, they are Toby, Cinnamon (shes a big girl at 20lbs), Chloe, and Confucius. Confucius is actually a girl, but I thought the name sounded cool at the time I named her. She tends to get called Marge for some reason.
I'm so jealous of you all! The only pets we're allowed to have in our apartment building is cats, but we didn't get one since it's a $300 non-refundable deposit, $150 deposit (refundable when you move out if everything is still in good condition), plus $30 a month "pet rent." I understand all except the pet rent--I mean, I could have 10 kids and not pay extra rent for them, but a cat costs me an extra $30 a month?! I'm sure it's just a deterrent so not too many people have cats
I did get n all-white kitten for my birthday when I turned 12. Her name is Sneakers, and she is extremely spoiled and lives with my parents in CT
Jill - I'm sorry you can't get a kitty. My apartment is like that too. My two cats make way less mess than my son, or me for that matter. I always thought it was insane that I could have a rat, guinea pig or big messy bird and pay nothing at all, but I got two litter trained cats who spend about 20 hours a day asleep on their kitty condo and I have to pay for that. Oh well.
I have to pay $25 pet rent for my dog. I don't understand it either. Makes absolutely no sense to me. Go figure!

trnsfrmnreplace - My BF would be sooooo jealous of you. He really wanted us to get a beagle but our townhouses wouldn't allow them because of the howling. He was so sad. He had the name picked out an everything (Jenkins).
I have a PUG!! his name is jack, he will be 9 this december.. He lives with my parents though, because BF doesnt like dogs that shed.. soooo I see go see him on a regular basis.. plus MAKAYLA Luvs him!!

my Golden Child is my Yorkie, "Martie." She turned 3 in August. She's the best behaved, and most spoiled rotten dog I know!
my Special Needs Childs is my Shih Tzu, "Dory." She turned 2 in November. I think we doomed her to have a low IQ by naming her after a fish with short-term memory loss. lol poor thing. but she is the sweetest little clown.
and... my Troubled Child is my short haired brwon tabby, "Chester." He turned 6 in July. He is a very sweet but independent cat. unless, of course, you get on his bad side and then he turns into the Tazmanian Devil. I have to sedate him to take him to the vet, and he still tries to bite them. lol but he is very nice at home.
and then there is my Betta fish, Gill. he's lasted over a year! maybe my aquatic curse has lifted!
I wish I had pets! I am a huge dog lover. Problem is that BF and I love big dogs, so we are planning to wait to get one until we have a house with a yard (I don't really want to keep a big dog in a small apartment).
