Good for you ! Keep it up!
I also wondered the same thing 2 weeks ago when I started realizing I was losing alot of inches around my body but the scales never moved. I also do Tae Bo and 3 miles of walking everyday. I now realize when you see those commerceils on tv advertising those exercise things they always say "So and so lost X amount of inches" They hardly say pounds. Hmmm. Now I know why.

About the scales--even if what they say doesn't match up with your doctor's scale or your gym scale or any other scale in the world, it will still give you an idea of your progress. My home scale (el cheapo model from walmart) is a good 3 pound different from my TOPS scale, and the scale at the gym is about 10 pounds higher than my home scale (so 13 pound higher than my TOPS scale). However, when I lose a pound, they all go down a pound, respectively, so it still tells you whether or not you are losing weight, which is what's really important, isn't it? I guess I'm just saying that if you want a scale, you can still get the cheaper ones and still have a good idea of your progress that way, even if they don't all start off with the same weight. After all, we usually stop when we reach a point where we like the way we look or fit into certain clothes, not when we just reach a magical number on the scale

Lizz, OMG, I can't believe he did that! I hope you at least gave him a really dirty look back!

AB, I need to try some of the newer Tae-Bo's because I've been hearing great things about them! Do you like that Tae-Bo better than the older ones?

Rakkoon, it sounds like we have a smiilar workout routine. I walk 2-3 miles 5-7 days a week and do Tae Bo a minimum of 3 times a week.

Jill, I know that what you're saying is true...its all about the numbers going down. But I just don't like that big switch. I would be annoyed at a 13 pound difference in the scales...and plus, my cheap one broke...that was terrible. I can't believe I squished the scale...

Well, off to do some more Tae-Bo

Uprincess-

I used to do the Advanced Taebo workout (old school yellow box) and I love the cardio circuit in comparison!!! I'm not sure if your local library has DVDs/tapes or not, but I've been trying the various workouts by getting them there, that way I don't waste money on a workout if it isn't going to be something I really love.

Smiles,
ab

I just realized I lost a total of 18 inches since 7/27/05 all over my body. What bugs me is that I think I still look the same I have these pants (size 12)that I used to force myself into, now they fit good. My waist went from a size 35" to a 30 1/2" but I still wear a size L in dresses
This whole month I have been working out, well I took a week off b/c my stroller broke and I have been lazy to work out. But I will get my butt back on track as soon as I get my new one tomarrow I hope Its being delivered via Ebay.
Any ways I have been working out (I breastfeed also) this whole month I have only seen 1 inch come off my chest from a 36" to a 35" around.

AB, I will check my library to see if they have any more of the Tae Bo tapes. I'm pretty sure I would like anything that Billy did, but I have been burned by just going out and buying a workout tape...so I stopped doing that...two times was enough for me. So is it a more difficult workout? Does it last longer? Is it still the same technique?

Rakkoon, I'm mad that I'm losing off my bust! I was a D and now I am dropping back to my orginal C (Princess sheds a tear). I'm glad to see the inches come off, I just wish I saw the pounds drop some more. I know it will eventually happen, but dang!

I don't think the workout is any harder but he mixes stuff up and it seems less repetitive and more fun... same technique (unlike taebo bootcamp, so I've heard). I have also learned my lesson on the "just buy it" attitude for videos....

Well, I got on one of those pay scales and guess what! It said a lovely 228.5..Yeah baby, YEAH

I want someone to try the bootcamp and tell me how they like it. As of yet, I don't think my library carries any other Tae Bo than the orginal...that sucks...BUT I do remember seeing at Ross, Dress for Less Tae Bo-Get Ripped a while back (it's probably gone now) Has anyone tried that one?
