Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen(slimmings),

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

I did a whole bunch, I got my hair colored and cut, a massage -well deserved mind you. It was a sort of a reward for making it throught another rough semester. Went to dinner w/ friends. Went to a comedy show, and hung out and watch movies at home.

What did you guys do?

Christmas is fast approaching....I am not ready yet...I have only bought one gift....uh, oh....

Have another great week everyone!

I've been enjoying a few lazy days after the term has ended as well - maybe not lazy, but not stressful that's for sure. Still have a few gifts to get, not too many, most of them are done, and I need to get a-wrapping. It's that TOM so cramps are killing me and I'm not wanting to do anything but lie in bed with my book, sipping my water, BUT I know I need to go out into the cold, cold world today.

Tonight I have something really cool to do. There is a school that my company supports in our region, where most of the kids won't be getting anything on christmas day.. a lot of their parents are unemployed or have illnesses that prevent them from working. So they are having a special assembly tonight where everychild will get a present or two. One of my colleagues is dressing up as santa, and my flatmate and I are the christmas fairies! It should be really fun, and it's nice to do something for someone else at this time of year. It means I won't make it to my step class this week, so I'm dropping the car home at lunch and walking back to work!

I'm kind of excited too, as part of my costume is this top and skirt that i haven't been able to fit for a couple of years and now I can!

Spill: Glad you had such a great weekend!

Jenicra: Enjoy your stress-free days.

NBK: What an awesome thing to do! Let us know how it goes.

Vero: Welcome! Hope the house-cleaning goes well.

Well, this weekend was a busy one. On Friday, two girlfriends and I headed to Orlando. A friend works for Disney and can get us in for free. So, we hit Pleasure Island Friday night and Disney on Saturday. We had so much fun! Saturday night was a church Christmas party. It was fun, too. It was all girls, and we had so much fun eating (), opening presents and hot-tubbing. Sunday was softball practice, dinner and looking at Christmas lights with DH.

Not too much is going on this week, but I definitely need to do some Christmas shopping. I also need to keep exercising and eating OP to counteract all the Christmas parties/goodies!

Hope y'all have a great week!

Take care,
Jina

nbk - that is a wonderful thing to do!! its also great that those clothes now fit. sometimes it's fun to be able to 'shop' in your own closet.

i bought these lucky jeans awhile back that didn't fit me AT ALL (why i bought them i dont know) but i tried them on the other day and they fit! snugly, but still, i'm psyched.

bf is trying to bluff by telling me that the ipod minis are sold out everywhere (which they are, i think) but i know he already bought me one because i went snooping around and found it. isnt that SO BAD of me? i can't wait until christmas. i am such a child, lol. BUT there were some other presents in there for me too and i didnt look at them, i just saw the ipod. so i am not that bad.

I just got my scores for the semester I did very well...I'm in a great mood today.
Does anyone watch the Amazing RAce? I'm so sad the senior couple got dismissed, they were soo cute to watch..

Megan: I can't believe you searched for your gift and found it...you can't stand the suspense right? Hey, sounds like you are going to enjoy your gift...what are you getting your bf?

Jina: Good to see you around....sounds like you had a great weekend.

Is everyone looking forward to the holidays?

Congrats on the good grades spill - I was pleasantly surprised as well - I got an A+ in my math course - an A+! In MATH!?!?!
Megan - congrats on those jeans! You know, I don't think a man would EVER buy an itme of clothing that wouldn't fit him right at that point in time - why in the heck do we women do that? I'm glad it payed off for you this time.
Jina - did you finish your christmas shopping yet?
I'm so excited - Christmas is only 10 days away!

Exams are what is killing me right now, plus my parents have decided to get a divorce - ugh. 35 years of marriage and now this? So, I am a little stressed this week. Does anyone elses family have the habit of produceing the WORST news at the holidays?? I swear, it's like they wait for the holidays to come to drop bombs like this. And with my husband overseas right now - Grrrr.
I have only made it to the gym once this week (Monday) and my eating hasn't been the best. I will just be happy when the holidays are over and DH is back.

Megan! You naughty girl.. mind you I don't have to snoop, BF and I are both the worst people when it comes to keeping suprises.. we always want to see the other persons reaction right away.. so we usually end up blurting it out within about ten minutes...lol.. and good one on the jeans! my porno tight ones are getting looser, but I think that has more to do with me secretly wearing them whilst I am in my room and stretching them than anything..

Brunette chic, I am really sorry to hear about your parents, however... think of it as instead of having 2 unhappy parents who are together.. hopefully you will have 2 happy parents who are apart. I know mine got on ALOT better once they separated. But yeah in my family, it seems to be either christmas or right before important exams that people drop big news. I'll be sending good thoughts your way, and if you want to talk about anything, I am a pretty good listener, so feel free to PM me (that goes for everyone!)

Giving out the christmas presents was wicked! It was sooo fun. All the kids clapped for each other as their name was read out and they came up to get their gift. It was cool to see the excitement and pleasure on their faces when they saw what they had gotten too.

NBK - I am really bad at keeping gift secrets too. I love to give presents and I am terrible at waiting!! To answer Spill's Q, I bought Rob a Nintendo DS for Christmas... it is sold out everywhere so I bought it on Ebay for over $200 (it retails for $150) - what am I, insane? He just loves his video games though. But, he already knows that he is getting it bc I couldn't keep it a secret. He told me that he was going to preorder one and pay for it and everything, and I had to tell him not to do that, and of course he said "why??" and i told him i had already bought one! He ran around like a 4 year old in glee. It was pretty amusing.

Brunette chic - I am sorry to hear about your parents. Yes, what timing! Well, my family really only sees each other on holidays, so it is the best time for everyone to fight. We have gotten better lately though. It must be especially hard without your DH.

well, it is official. i am in love with my personal trainer. do you guys think he will leave his wife for me?? lol. I am terrible, I develop a crush on every person I meet, it seems like. But anyway, he is the kind of guy that I would love to date... if he wasn't married. and... oh yea, i have a boyfriend, lol. I am SUCH a freak. his body is just... wow. i didnt have a session last night but he hung out with me while i did my weights and cardio. normally i dont like talking to people when i exercise, but i can make an exception for him. it really makes the time fly by!! whooooooooweeeeeeee.

Brunette Chic; sorry to hear about your parents...my parents are divorced, and they ARE so much happier and better people apart..I know it's hard, there isn't really any good advice, but you will survive it. Much luck and (((((hugs))))) to you during this, and you can make it through finals!!!

Congratualtions on the A+ in math! that is awesome Jenicra! well done...

Megan, you are sooo naughty!..first snooping and now coveting thy trainer! seriously!! but if it makes you keener to go to the gym then go for it! I know while i was spading my bf it was a huge motivator to go to the gym, cos I knew i would see him there, and as we always both finished about the same time, I also knew there would be at least a good 20 mins to an hour of talking in the car park afterwards....now we're going out.. he hardly goes to the gym and I find it harder to be motivated about going!

Toastmasters christmas party tonight, we're going bowling!! he he
