A whole bunch of people were leaving the theater in the middle pretending to get popcorn or go to the bathroom, because it was so intense. |
i love the japanese versions cos you have to read the subtitles you got so into the movie. where as in english you can look away and still hear whats being said or happening with subtitles you get really fixated on the screen and hang of everyword thats when they really suck you in ruffle your feathers. Bergman films are the same i get so into reading the story that the film really sucks me in i love it.
velvet revolver going to NZ well i guess i'll have to wait for them to come to download next year hopefully System of a down will be there would love to see them play live |
well been out spending my pennies got a new Korean horror called " A tale of two sisters" very very good apparently Dreamworks has bought the rights to it so it could be remade and released.
MUSIC bough American Idiot by greenday today. very good i like this album sounds great not sure i've quite grapsed the context of it yet but a good listen just for the face value sound. also bough Mind Body and Soul by Joss Stone excellent!!! what a voice incredable set of songs. one of those layed back feel good albums you put on to cheer yourself up |
TannyMC - I just started the Time Travelers wife by Audrey Niffenegger. Its really good so far, but I am not done with it. I've also read Memories of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, and
Midwives: A Novel by Chris Bohjalian. I'm also hoping to pick up Wicked by Gregory Maguire sometime soon. If you want girly books.. I can suggest the Bridget Jones books and the Confessions of a Shopaholic series. Also Jennifer Wiener writes some good chick lit. |
thanks for the advice! I read wicked ... it was pretty good, but i didn't love it. i'm going to go see the play in the spring.
i am going to pick up the jon stewart history book, i've heard its hilarious and i love him, and the daily show. |
Had a totally lazy weekend... Watched copious amounts of DVD's
they were: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (good) Thirteen - with holly hunter, this was really scary, mostly becuase of how true it was Just Married (blech) The friday after next - if it was possible to kill the humour out of the gags from the previous two movies, they did. It was CRAP. . still have the big lebowski to watch.. Si - American Idiot is a great album. you can really hear the progression of Greenday as a band if you listen to Dookie first.. in the AI cd they are so tight and the music is really well written.. i love the songs with 4 "movements"... It is a wicked CD. |
yea it is really awesome although maybe a little to political for greenday i think its slightly more towards RATM and SOD type of lyrics but they do it really well. i was my birthday on saturday i was 23 :(
|
Happy Belated Birthday then! :)
|

si - the legend of zelda, the wind waker for gamecube is the best game i have ever played. i also enjoy the monkey island series, which is really fun and funny. and super mario brothers 3 is another great one (hellooo raccoon suit). i really like to play adventure games that have good story lines, like legend of zelda, or like king's quest that i used to play when i was younger. they dont make enough games like this anymore! what is the getaway about?
my boyfriend has every gaming system there is, so we play a lot of different stuff. i just bought him the nintendo ds for christmas (off ebay because it's sold out everywhere), so we'll see how the games are for that. |

Only game I'm playing is Everquest2.. I'm what alot of my friends refer to as a mmorpg-whore. I try to try them all.. lol... (mmorpg is massive multi online role playing games for those of you who are not geeks like me ;) ) I was extremely addicted to Everquest for about 2 years... after that I started looking around and I was never satisfied with another game... Though I'm loving Everquest2... I'm just not allowing myself get hook because if I do no wedding planning, excercising.. anything really is going to happen...
