hi

I am 23 years old and have a 1 1/2 yr old little boy. I have read posts for a while and decided to post. I am planning on losing all the weight I can while my husband is deployed. I was pregnent the last time he was deployed. I am hoping to lose 30-50 pds., depending on how long he will be gone. I just wanted to tell everyone hi

Welcome! You can attain your goal! Good Luck! :balloons:

Where is your husband deployed to? Do you get to communicate with him any? That must be rough. I used to date someone in the army and those times apart are really hard. Staying as busy as possible helps it seems. So here's a kiss for you! :chockiss:

He leaves for Afghanistan in about 2-3 weeks. You never know with the army though. This will probably be longest we ve been apart in the 3 years we ve been together (the longest so far is 6 months). We will hopefully be able to talk once a week and he will have access to the internet. I am just thankful that he has been able to see our son for the first year of his life. I also feel very strongly that I have been lucky, we have friends and her huband is on his third deployment since july 2002. This maybe his 3rd christmas he wil miss. In this aspect I do feel lucky but thank you fro the kind words and support

Hi Lulu!

We have a similar goal and I only started a little bit ago. I can only imagine how hard it must be for your husband to be so far away and for so long. My boyfriend is in the Navy and I know how much I miss him, and he hasn't been gone any longer than a month, plus he doesn't have to go fight on land.

Join in on any conversations, this board is great! And check out the challenges, they're a good way to add some motivation!

Welcome, Lulu! I'm sorry to hear about your husband being deployed. I really, really appreciate people in the military. They make huge sacrifices and do so much for our country.

We're glad to have you on the 20-somethings board. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Good luck on your weight-loss journey!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. I will miss my husband like crazy but when people tell me they appreciate what he does it makes the time apart worth it. Again thank you all
