Weekly Chat 9/27-10/2
Morning Ladies! How are we all doing this Monday morning?
Let's have lots of losers this week, let's finish off this month strong...only three days left of September! |
I'd love to be a loser. However, i can not get myself to even get on the scale. Do you think it's crazy to wait to weigh myself until I notice a difference in say the fitting of my clothes? Also I have the tendency to obsess so once i weigh in it's hard for me not to do it daily, then my mood coincides with my weight and if i'm not happy with that number which i'm sure i won't be then everyone, including myself suffers. I haven't weighed myself in about 6 mos. The doctor weighed me but i refused to look. Any opinions?

Insekur - if weighing makes you nutso - don't do it! It sounds like you know how it affects you (negatively) and I think you're being smart to avoid it.
Classes started today - oh boy is this year going to be hectic. But I made it and I am on plan too! |
Insekur: I agree with jenicra. And you don't need to know your lbs to know if you're healthy or not. My long term goal is based on clothing I want to wear again (although I swear it'll be outta style by the time I get there) rather than a certain weight. Forget the scale. Focus on getting healthy!

Insekur: How about just weighing in once a week? Not everyday. Our weight flectuates a lot so just pick a day or even maybe once a month? Sometimes when we see ourselves in the mirror everyday it's hard to see a difference, but sometimes it plays out on the scale. It is hard to face the truth..I know I've been there...I couldn't believe what I weighed, but to me it was a motivator to get on the scale and see that I had lost another lb. Also knowing that I was going to weigh in on a particular date really helped me stay right as far as what I was eating. I would really question myself about that extra donut, knowing I was going to possible see the difference in my weigh in (not that one donut was going to make me lose) but I think you know what I'm trying to say :) but then again, you know yourself best, and what worked for me may not be what works for you...just wanted you to hear my opinion in what worked for me :) Good Luck to you, you can do it!

yeah, it's Thursday! I kept looking at the calendar on my desk...I thought it was Wednesday. So whew, glad I'm not having to redo Wednesday. It was a long day to say the least.
So, toniight is my favorite show, the apprentice...but I guess it's not going to air because of the presidential debate....??? Does anyone know? How sad & pathetic am I? I also missed the Bachelor...note to self: invest in some tapes to record it :) Everyone have a great day! :D |
Hello eveyone!
Sorry I have not posted in about a week. School started and I think i bit off more than I could chew and on top of that I am really sick...I have to go the doctor tomorrow and there is a good chance it is pnemonia... :eek: Which really scares me...My lungs have been really sore and today they MADE me leave work because I could not breathe! It scared me but the soonest I could get to see a doctor was in the morning, I could not afford the hospital. So we will see how it goes...I dont think that I am going to lose weight this week....maybe gain...I had to go leave town for my weekend...crazy family stuff and had to take care of them.
