Since there are only 6 weeks to go, my goal is 157. It will feel so good to break the "barrier" of 160!!!!
|
seeing others' goals.. I think 10 lbs is reasonable enough :D
so.. I guess.. 143-ish by the 1st of april :moo: good luck all~ ^^ |
OK. Progress on my April Fools' Day Challenge... I lost 2.5 pounds. I started this challenge at 185.5, and I'm now at 183. My goal is 172, so 11 pounds left to go... Seems steep, but it's something to work for.

Checking In!
Hi everyone!
Im just checking in..when I started the April Fools day challenge I weighed 258 lbs and now I currently weigh 250 :D So 10 lbs in over a month looks good :D Take Care everyone I'll check in later, Amanda  |
I've got 5 more weigh-in's until the final one (March 31). I really think I'm going to make it. I've just got a good vibe. I peeked at the scale this morning after breakfast, a walk, and a liter of water (probably not a good idea, right?) and weighed in at 211!!! So if I can make it to 210/209 (or maybe even lower!!!???) by Wednesday's weigh-in, I will be so close to goal! My motivation is peaking right now! I've given almost 100% for the past 9 days - which might be a record for me! So I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be at 210 Wednesday - leaving me with a less than 3 lb./week goal loss. Right now I'm focusing on staying on plan as long as humanly possible! I am so proud of myself for being so strong through this past week and it gives me motivation that the scale is rewarding me as well!
Well, we're about half-way through this challenge? How's everyone else feeling about their goals? |
Jenicra - You are doing such an amazing job, it must feel so good to really see results from all of your hard work.
I'm actually moving towards my goal, I've finally broken past 132 after being stuck there forever. I'm waiting until next week when I gain back a little water weight to see if I really have gone down to 130 or not. Either way, I'm seeing a little downward movement on the scale and am really coming along with my running. |
Jenicra!!!! That is so great! It's so cool that you've been on track for 9 days straight. You deserve an award! Hang in there!
Katia, it's also wonderful to hear that you are progressing! How long/far are you running? As for me, I'm not exactly loosing weight, but my clothes are fitting differently. I know that the weight lifting is really helping that, but I know I need to up my cardio quite a bit. Good luck and stick with it ladies! |
Dee & Katia - sounds like you're both well on your way as well. It's wonderful when you notice that your clothes don't quite fit isn't it?
|
Dee - If your clothes are fitting differently, you must be on the right track, don't worry about what the scale says. It will all come together.
I've been running off and on for about 2 years, but I'm training for a half marathon right now. I do a lot better with exercise when I'm training for a particular goal. I run between 3 and 4 miles twice a week and then have one long run on the weekends. I also try to get in two strength training workouts, one yoga class, and one other cross training workout to complement the running. |
Congrats to everyone who is doing so well!
More progress! I lost 4.5 pounds this week to get to 176.5. My goal for this challenge is 172. I need to lose 4.5 pounds more, and I've got three more weigh-ins to get it off! I don't want to speak too soon, but this challenge seems possible. I think I can make it to my goal, which would be a MAJOR accomplishment. I've never met a challenge goal before!!! |
Go Jina! That is so cool! I know you can do it!
|
For April Fool's day I would like to be solidly into the upper 160's; Right now I am 170-`73, depending on the time of day. I would like to be in the 160's no matter what time of day. :)
|
You're all so inspiring! I don't know if I've been losing any real weight since I started a couple of weeks ago, but my April 1 goal: I'd settle for being in a good, consistent exercise schedule and reducing my "blob" days.
|
3 weeks left... 3 weigh-in's left... and only 6 lbs. to go. I'm already starting to get intimidated about the idea of seeing a personal trainer and *gasp* working out in a gym full of too-perfect college girls trying to work off that cracker they ate for breakfast. Sigh. But it's free and I have yet to take full advantage of it.
|
I have to say, as a member of a college gym where those kinds of girls are the norm, it is awfully intimidating. In fact, sometimes I let it deter me from going. But I try to remind myself that I'm there for MY health, not theirs. Besides, they're all a bunch of anorexic crackhead rich kids. <eg>
