I'm done for the week, I love having classes only three days a week!

Today is serious house cleaning day, I'm letting my exercise plans slide in favor of floor scrubbing and dusting and shower cleaning and laundry and whatever else needs to be done. I can't wait until I graduate from law school, get a job, and have the money for a cleaning lady.

Any more good movie recommendations? Big Fish is the only thing in the theaters that I want to see that I haven't checked out yet, but it's been so cold lately that I foresee lots of movie dates in the future. Has anyone seen anything else worth renting?

Oh - and Holly - I really liked Le Divorce, it was very enjoyable.

Katia--how did the house cleaning go? I hope you get your cleaning help one day, too. With the knowledge that my desire is to stay at home & raise children, I'm pretty much sure I'll never have one myself. (-: hee hee!
How's everyone's week going? It's Thursday already! Yay! I get even more excited for the weekends now, because it means more time with DH. He was off work (at his 2nd job) last night & that was SUCH a treat. Just having him here was awesome. And he's off tonight, too! (-; I think I have come to appreciate him all the more, because of this stinky job situation.
Well ladies, have an excellent day! (-:

Katia - we saw Big Fish last night. It was amazing. DH said "you know, movies don't usually move me, but that one did."

katia 01-22-2004 05:03 PM

Formia - That sounds great, I am definitely seeing Big Fish!

Jen - My apartment is sparkling, scrubbed from top to bottom, I'm so much happier to be at home when everything is organized! Help around the house is going to be a big priority for me when I start working. The sort of job I'm going to end up in will be 60 - 70 hours a week so my time at home will be precious. I grew up in a home with a mother that didn't work, so it's odd for me to think that if my boyfriend and I end up getting married, we'll probably both work and have a cleaning lady and a nanny to take care of a lot of the things my mother did. Weird.

Back to reading...today I need to finish my tax law reading for next week and get to the gym during Friends!

Happy Friday, ladies!!! Aren't you glad it's finally here? I know I am! I'm ready for some downtime, for sure.
This week has been going really well, as far as eating is concerned. This is a great thing, because I'd been struggling the past few weeks & really needed to get fully back "on track." I'm so thankful it didn't take a gain (or a couple gains!) for me to do that. I'm looking for a decent loss tomorrow morning--it should be there! (-;
What are everyone's weekend plans? Anything exciting?
I'm pretty boring--working out & grocery shopping this evening. Tomorrow morning: weigh-in, work out, and then go out with DH after lunch. We're going to the mall & out for dessert! Yay! Sunday we'll just go to church, work out sometime in the afternoon, and hopefully relax the rest of the time. (-;
Have a wonderful day!

i put my two weeks notice in to blockbuster!

is it weird that i'm considering taking it back? i don't know, i just feel attachments to things like this and i don't ever want to let them go. maybe that's why i'll be receiving 4 W2's this year? ;P but i need let them go.

for god's sake, i worked 12 hours yesterday, and now i'm up and about to work 8 more. i need the 2 days off a week for my sanity.

oh the things i'll do! i'll scrapbook, for one. hey, maybe the house can be kept clean, too. and i'll be able to be much more regular and consistant about my workouts! woo.

i'm going to start losing. no more wishy washy-ness. 64 pounds lost already, that's great. now you've kept them off for a bit, it's time to go lower. :)

Owww!

I was walking to the gym this afternoon and slipped on a patch of ice that was hidden by the snow that was falling here all morning. My back and butt really hurt, I skipped the gym and have been hanging out in bed, studying while lying on my stomach.

All you girls in warm climates are lucky that you don't have to deal with snow and ice all winter!

Jen24 01-24-2004 09:37 PM

Katia--would you believe that I *am* living in a relatively warm climate (South Carolina), but am DYING to get back to a VERY frigid one? The reason being, all my family is in the midwest! DH & I are moving to South Dakota (where I grew up on the farm; my parents are still there) this coming June! So yes, very exciting, but getting used to the winters again will be rough. But family/loved ones definitely outweighs the advantages of a warmer climate, when it comes down to details. Truthfully, I really HATE how hot/humid it gets here for about 5-6 months of the year, anyway. Although with having lost so much weight now....I don't think it'd be as unbearable for me. Regardless, though, FRIGID WINTERS here I come! (-;
Sorry about your fall--hope no damage was done & that you heal up quickly. Good luck studying!!!

Hello ladies!

How's your weekend going?? Well, Sacha is in a great mood!! This past week has been amazing for me...I ate extremely well and exercised like a crazy horse everyday! I could feel my pants getting bigger everyday! It is a good feeling because I've had a hard time getting back on tracks right after Christmas. At one point, I thought I wasn't going to be able to go back on these $$### tracks but I am doing it! Thank you to everybody here and thank you to myself!

I am also in a good mood because I got my hair done yesterday! It looks awesome. All I have to say is: watch out Charlize Theron!! (haha..yeah right...) My hair is a lot blonder now and I have mini bangs on the side. I don't know if you can picture the bangs but I promise it looks good! It is a lil bit like Jennifer Aniston's new bangs but not as thick...I'm telling you, if you want a mood booster, go to the haidresser this week!!

I also bought a pilates DVD, thanks to "pilates thread" of this forum! See how you girls are helping me?? I was thinking of going to the gym 5 times a week and do pilates during the weekend...We'll see....

Katia ---- I am so sorry about fall! These @##@ winters!!! I hope you will feel better soon!

Jen ---- I understand you wanting to be close to your family. I am only 1 hour and a half away from mine and I love it...I can go every weekend if I want. Where is your hubby's family?

Gonzo --- I am praying for those 2 days off!! You deserve them!

Have a good Sunday everybody!!!

Sacha
