Copy-cat BODY TWIN! Partner up, double success!

I noticed a new thread in the 100lb club that involves finding your body twin, someone with similar-to-exact SW/CW/GW stats, and being motivational partners!

I think it's SUCH a fantastic idea, but even though, by all rights I COULD have a 100lb goal, I do not, and I feel like that shouldn't stop us out there with slightly different goals from seizing such an awesome idea and motivating each other!

So, if you, like myself, would like to try this super-cool idea, throw out your stats, and maybe a little about yourself, and your goals, and find yourself a teeny tiny support group! ;) feel free to have body triplets, or quadruplets, or quintuplets if you feels so inclined. (And find someone so close! :dizzy:)

Good luck! :) begin your search below!! :D

:hug::hug::hug:

whollyhick 01-14-2014 04:02 AM

Okay, il go first, :)
I'm 22
Female
SW/CW/GW 240/236/165
I'm sticking to a Pescetarian diet, as raw as possible, low in refined carbs and sugars. I like my shiny new treadmill (I'll like it more when the hubz puts it together, but I like treadmills in general, lol), yoga, and taking my pup for runs/walks! My best friend is a Zumba instructor, so I like that too! I live in the sticks and this year I'm planting a good sized garden, and trying to feed me on mostly what I can raise! :)

Where's my twin! ;)

Pattience 01-14-2014 04:16 AM

Not me, i'm too short, but i just want to say what a great idea. GOod luck with finding your twin.

Davikatl16 01-14-2014 12:43 PM

Hello, I think this is a fantastic idea! :D
I am 21, and Female!

I am 5'3 3/4"
SW/CW/GW 230/177/150 (currently, my doctor wants me down to around 130ish)

I am in my final year at school, have no set plans for the next year, and everything is scary and done on the fly. In between going to class, working/trying to find a job with more hours, and my internship, I somehow manage to work out and do the things I enjoy.

My work outs vary, but I try to avoid the gym. I do a lot of squats, push-ups, and planks. I also am a pinterest junky, so I tend to try out those fitness challenges (currently I am doing a modified 30-day squat challenge because my body was telling me I needed to modify, listen to your bodies!)

As for my diet, I like to indulge. All. The. Time.

I have type 2 Diabetes and am always trying to balance my dietary needs that way. By focusing on eating to keep my blood sugar at a steady rate I have found that I eat a lot better than I used to do. I don't count calories, and I don't beat myself up over messing up too badly. :P The most important thing about changing our diets and exercise routines is that we try to make our goals every day. Even if we try and fail, it is better than giving up. :)

urpalval88 01-14-2014 02:24 PM

Hi! I want in, I am 25 years old, female, 5'6 and
SW-242
CW-236
GW-178

I am eating sensibly, lots of fruits and veggies with whole grains, no sugars, and lots of activity!! Morning stretches and sits ups/ push ups and other such home exercises. Then treadmill on full incline for a least half an hour and weights 3 x's a week at the gym. also a one mile lap around my neighborhood in the evenings.

SallyLa 01-14-2014 03:12 PM

This sounds fun!

24 yr old female 5' 0"

194/161/125

I am working on small portions, less sugar, making sure I drink lots of water. My job is very active so that is where I get most of my work out each day.

Hope to find my body twin :D

whollyhick 01-14-2014 05:32 PM

Urpalval88 were pretty close! Lets see if more folks notice and join in!

underanalysis 01-14-2014 05:57 PM

I'd be amazed if I have a body twin but I will throw my name in the hat anyway!

27 year-old female, 5'7"
SW: 155
CW: 154.5 (ish, weighing in tomorrow)
GW: 130(ish)

I'm focusing more on NSVs such as measurements, fitness, and overall change in body shape. I'm calorie counting (1400-1500/day), trying to eat whole foods, cut out artificial sweeteners, and hitting the gym 5x/week for running and weight training.

Atarimae 01-14-2014 07:10 PM

Oh this is a great idea for a support group! :)

I'm 23 years old and 5'4
S/C/G: 174/151.8/125 (Current as of 1/13's weigh-in)

Diet-wise, I focus my eating on lowered carbs and sugars rather than calorie counting (so either way I'm still a label reading freak!). So if I were to gear my eating habits toward any 'diet' out there, it would be Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure.

Exercising wise is, unfortunately, where I lack. I attempt to go on our exercise bike at least 4-5x a week for at least half an hour to an hour. I'm also attempting the 30 day plank challenge, though I'm severely out of shape.

ubercast 01-14-2014 07:18 PM

I'm 24 years old

I'm 5'5

My SW is 252

My CW is 244

My GW is 150

I did actually find a body twin in the other thread, but I may have a triplet out there. You never know!

skintoskincombat 01-14-2014 08:09 PM

I've seen a couple peepz on here with similar stats at me but I forget their user names! Find me!!!

I'm doing low carb with a cheat meal once a month and I still drink socially :D so I'm losing at a slower pace then i should...but my stats are....

25 year old female 5'9.5 204 pounds looking to be 165!

LawGirl88 01-14-2014 10:26 PM

I'm in I'm currently at 191 and am shooting for around 135 and I'm about 5 for 6.

I'm almost 26 and working part time while I apply to masters programs. I gained a ton of weight when I moved home from college due to medicines and bad habits and am working to get rid of it. I try to limit sugars more because my body doesn't react to well to them and just keep my calorie reasonable. My workouts not specific yet but try to get in daily cardio. Where's my twin?!?!

Defining 01-14-2014 10:53 PM

Loving this idea!

I am 24, 5'2''

168/165/125

Enjoying whole foods, refined carbs in moderation, but I still eat tasty things! Erm, I should probably try this whole 'physical activity' thing at some point as well, right? :o

SallyLa and Atarimae we might be kind-sorta close? :dizzy:

SallyLa 01-14-2014 11:33 PM

Defining I would love to be your buddy seems like we are in the same place searching for the same goal :)

Defining 01-15-2014 12:24 AM

Awesome; am about to head to bed, but poke me in a few days if I forget? :p Can't send you a PM yet (we might both be too new?), but hopefully soon!

MrsDeenz 01-15-2014 01:11 AM

I'm 29, 5'5"

203/201/140ish

I have a hard time with portion control and motivation. Picking up some weights tomorrow to start P90x at home. Hopefully with some activity and some portion control (as well as some clean-er eating, I'll be able to accomplish something).

hey, I think we are pretty close! I am 25years old, 5'5 and currently at 145lbs, aiming for 125lbs as well. I used to be 179lbs or even more years ago and got down to 123lbs once. PM me if you're interested.
I don't follow a special diet, but I have an eye on my calories. I'll have to get back to really measuring my food, though. I don't do sports at the moment due to the weather and upcoming exams, but I try to walk as much as I can during the day. I got a fitbit one in October, it's really motivating me to move more!

Espronceda 01-15-2014 03:35 PM

I'd love a partner or small group!

I'm 20, 5'4'', 160/150ish/120

I count calories, and have been doing more exercise lately, including lifting! I have lots of dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten free), but I love to cook and bake.

If any of you lovely people think we could be body twins or even regular sisters, let me know!

Atarimae 01-15-2014 10:18 PM

Defining ~ Wow we definitely are pretty similar!

Espronceda ~ Body-wise we're nearly identical!

Dottington 01-16-2014 01:36 AM

Fun!

I'm 26 and 5'6, SW:200 CW:144 GW:125
I'm gluten free, lactose intolerant, and a vegetarian. I eat mainly unprocessed foods and cook a lot. I eat out once a week and usually relax a bit on the weekends. I count calories and try and keep track of my macros, but not too into it. Exercise is something I love, but when I'm in school its almost impossible. I love hiking more then anything. I'm trying to find ways to squeeze exercise into my daily plan.

Espronceda I feel like we are probably eating twins!

angienofrills 01-16-2014 08:57 AM

Hey :) I'm new here and this seems like a pretty good place to start!

I'm 5"10.5, 201 lbs and aiming for 165 lbs!

I'm vegetarian and cheese and carbs are my absolute downfall, would be great to have someone with a similar body to talk to!

LawGirl88 You and I are basically twins!! Let's see if we can find others! :)

I just turned 26, 5'4'', weighing in at 189, and looking to get to 135.

Right now I don't have a job, but I'm looking! Hubby's in the Army so I've been moved across the country and now I'm facing down a looming deployment. This is my chance to get myself into the best shape of my life and finally feel good about myself. I'm going to be starting the South Beach diet, which focuses on complex carbs and getting rid of sugars and simple carbs. I also try to get in 5 workouts a week (mon-fri), 3 of them focusing on cardio and the other two focusing on strength training.

kates106 you seem to be the closest one to me so far.

I'm calorie counting and going to the gym 4 times a week. Been on it since the first of the year, 17 pounds down so far!

We are pretty close! I also started at the the start of the year I'm only down 8 pounds though. I'm doing the same thing just counting calories and going to the gym 4 times a week. Add me my fitness pal if you use it so we can encourage each other! (kates106)

Heyyyo RideRunRepeat,

I'm actually starting at 164.5 and am aiming for the 130's as my ideal goal. My heaviest was in the high 170's (college took its toll)
AND I'm 5'4".
AND I'm.ok, I'm 25 :^: but that's pretty close to 21.
AND I'm new to the forum. Haha.

whollyhick 01-22-2014 08:48 PM

I'm so excited people are finding twins to keep motivated! :)
Now... If someone could be my twin, That'd be grand ;) haha

I'm 27 (truth because this is anonymous, to your face, I'm 24 and have been for the past 3 years :)) and a tall 5'8 .

My beginning weight was 250, I am currently 230, and my goal is 150, so a total of 100lbs :dizzy: is what I am going to lose. I want at least the first 50 gone by my birthday, which is this summer, where I may or may not be turning 25, I haven't decided yet...

cdavidowsky, we're similar! I'm 24, 5'3 3/4, 190lb (might be more, too scared to look at the scale), and would like to get down to 125lb. So far my eating habits have been really bad (chocolate and sugar galore) but I'm going to try to start by keeping my junk intake to a minimum. I hate working out but I just got a recumbent bike and I'm hoping to use it for at least 15 minutes every day. When I find my ID, I'll try to go to the gym at least twice a week. Eventually I'd like to try strength training out, but for now I feel more comfortable with cardio.
