I've been singing the desk job blues...

Hi guys!

I am moving here from an introduction thread, so that I can post more regularly and use this as a journal! I hope this is the right place for that type of thread...

I am Kristi, 25, just started my career, retired college soccer player, and I am struggling with staying healthy after 18 years of being told to go run or lift by someone other than myself. I need a little more self-motivation.

So I have come here to try and build a support group, be more accountable for my actions, and hopefully be inspired by others' stories!

My goal is to get down to 135ish pounds, and I am currently at 156 or 157. I don't have a set timeline for this journey, but my first goal is to be down 10 pounds by the end of December. I know this is a lofty goal with it being the holidays and all, but I am honestly feeling so committed right now and want to really push myself.

I am going to begin this journey tomorrow with the Advocare Herbal Cleanse and a trip to Title Boxing. I'm not wasting any time!

Thanks for stopping by!

I thought I might wait until after my workout to post, but I don't know for sure that I will have the energy to even open up the lid to my computer at that point.

So I will talk about how my day went up until this point! My food has been pretty darn good! This cleanse I'm on requires you to eat fresh fruit and veggies, lean meat, and whole grains. Here's my diet for today, excluding dinner...

Breakfast:
Oatmeal Banana pancake - one of my favorites. I put chia seeds and mixed unsalted nuts in the mix, and top it with peanut butter. No syrup needed!

Lunch:
Chilli that my boyfriend's mother made me. It was quite good, and although I'm not really supposed to eat red meat, it was very lean, and I'm not going to go crazy over it. I also had grapes, a banana, and slices of orange bell pepper with roasted pine nut hummus.

(Tentative) Dinner:
I'm currently baking some red potatoes for some healthier home fries, and I am going to make chicken and rice with asparagus once I get home from boxing.

I am supposed to eat 8 servings of fruits and veggies every day, and that is honestly such a challenge for me. I am trying to replace crackers with veggies, and just add fruit wherever I can, but I am a bread/carb LOVER. This is going to be tough!
