    Let the Challenge COMMENCE! 35 contestants, 20 days. Who will succeed?

    After the Bikini ready challenge I have decided to run another challenge, but this time with a twist. This is a NO EXCUSES, HARDTOTHECORE 20 day challenge. You have to be on plan for 20 days straight or you will be booted from the challenge. Sound too harsh? Then this isn’t for you! Rumour has it that being on plan for 20 days in a row will develop a habit.

    This challenge isn’t focused on weight loss, but pure dedication. There will be an option to record your weight, since this IS a weight loss forum, but the important part of this challenge is not slipping up for 20 days. No “I’m on my period so I ate chocolate” or “I had a really hard day at work so I just wanted to relax” – these are both excuses I would use but GOOD BYE EXCUSES AND HELLO SEXINESS!

    I love me my spreadsheets, so I’ll be using one to keep track on everyone’s progress.


    The rules for all contestants:
    • You must put an "X" in your row for each day you are on plan. If you fail to put your X in your row for more than 2 days you are OUT.
    • Be honest: if you break your pledge then bow out of the challenge.
    • Please use this thread to discuss your progress, your weight changes and how you're feeling - give and get support!
    • There is an option to enter your weight on the far right side of the spreadsheet but please remember this is about dedication not the number on the scale!
  • Riestrella’s 20 Day Pledge:

    For 20 days straight I will:
    • Not eat junk food/ready meals. I will make my own lunches and cook my own dinner.
    • Workout at least 3 times a week
    • Only drink water, no pop of any kind.
    • If I end up going out to a meal I will not overindulge and learn to say NO!
  • Love this one! I'll have to think hard about what my pledge is going to be....I'll come back & edit this post once I decide. I know the exercise part, at least.
    1. I will workout at least 4 days a week
    2. I will stay under 1500 calories/day

    Okay I made up my mind pretty quickly. :P

  • I love this challenge! Any other time I would SO be in...but right now I'm struggling between "I shouldn't because I have a vacation planned July 13-20" and "that's the exact reason why I SHOULD be in!" So I will have to think on this for a few days!

  • I think this is amazing and EXACTLY what I need. HOWEVER - my big vacation that I've been working up to is July 17th. I'm contemplating just doing the first 16 days of this because I desperately want to lose this final weight by the time I go to California, and this challenge is exactly what I need. However, I have no intentions on staying on plan for vacation!
  • Woot! I'm totally in! I love challenges! Lets do this!

    1. I will workout at least 4 days a week.
    2. I will not use my weight watchers weekly points at all.
    3. I will drink at least 64 oz of water daily.
  • Andi & epicskyline - Feel free to join for the first part of the challenge. There's no harm in being on plan leading up to your vacation!! It's no big deal if you bow out to go have fun ;p
  • I think I will! Should I put my weight in now or wait until closer to July 1st?
  • Ok I am definitely in on this one. I just started to get serious about working out so this will be the perfect thing to keep me on track.

    1. My weekly average daily calorie intake will be at or below 1250
    2. I will do my C25K app three times a week
    3. I will use my fluidity bar at least twice a week

    I already have the whole calorie thing and eating well nailed down to a T and I am in love with my fluidity bar but need to add cardio hence starting C25K. I will tone the heck out of my legs and get them sexy!

    If I stick to this I am going to reward myself with a new fitbit or something similar (my old one fell off my pants last October and I never replaced it. I think it's something that's good incentive since I'm getting focused on fitness and looking to start running)

    My goal would be to eat 5 servings of fruit/veggies a day. Yikes!

    Gonna think about it some more... Also, I'm crashing your 20-somethings party! Hope you don't mind
  • OK, I'll do it for as long as I can! And as far into vacation as I can go...I'll probably pull out sometime in that period, but I'll try to follow!!


    Gym 3 days/week (OR outdoor/at home workout)
    No soda!
    Don't go over on portion sizes
    No cheats!

    1. Keep calories in the 1200-1500 range everyday.
    2. Workout 5x a week for a minimum of 30 minutes.
    3. Besides my morning smoothie I'm going to drink only water.
