sun You should get your knee checked out if you can, just in case it is something and it gets worse over time.
kawaii Maybe you just weighed at an off time? Like maybe you've actually lost like 3 or 4 pounds but just at the point you weighed it wasn't showing that? I dunno, hang in there though! That problem with pee-ing sounds super annoying. No doubt you've looked into this, but is there anyway you can get that medication sent over at all? Hah, I don't want anyone to help me pack (except my boyfriend). I've done a lot today though!
~Yup, well as I was telling kawaii, I've done a lot of packing today. Well...kind of a lot. I've cleared off the whole top of my dresser and packed all the clothes from the drawers I don't think I'll wear in the next week. I've also cleared out my bedside table and packed up all my dvds and video games and books AND organised a few kitchen things. My wardrobe is still full, but I figure I'll just put all the clothes and shoes into a box or a rubbish sack on moving day - I can't decide a week's worth of outfits haha. I already organised my shoes a few weeks ago so I only have 8 pairs out at the moment.
Packing the kitchen will be a pain - we're moving back to my boyfriend's parents, so we won't need all the kitchen stuff, but my mum wants some of it to use and the rest I need to store somehow - just packing it into what is going where is driving me crazy, and I am waiting on old newspapers to protect stuff. Urgh.
All the packing has me thinking that if/when we get to Canada, we will be living MINIMALLY. For sure. I mean homely, but still minimally. It's insane how much crap I've accumulated and I've only lived in this house for just over a year!
I did well last night with calories and alcohol until corn chips were put in front of me and I started snacking. And then I bought a cheeseburger on the way home. Damn those golden arches, McDonald's cheeseburgers are like my kryptonite.
We're heading out for Indian again tonight - hah! Our friends have a voucher for the same place we had a voucher for last weekend, so we're going there again. But I'm not worried, I've not eaten a lot today so it's all good. I really wanted to go see the remake of Evil Dead tonight but it's only on at one cinema - BALLS.

rainbow: yeah, i've got my fingers crossed that i'm actually bloated from TOM and that it'll go down in a few days, but i can't really know for sure... good to hear about the packing! i know, right? i wouldn't want anyone to come over and pack my stuff! lol. McDonalds is evil!! lol.
omg, i know i just posted but... my mom just sent me a package FULL of Cadbury eggs!!!! remember when i was b!tching about her sending me the wrong stuff for easter? lol. i guess she felt bad but i was just so shocked! it was kinda bad cuz i was starving cuz i've been delaying having lunch cuz i was playing a game... (dork) and i was like "omg!! can i resist temptation???" but i ate only one, and it was soooo good. and i feel pleased. now off to have a salad i go!!!

Thanks for the compliments on my ink ladies! I know they aren’t for everyone, but I love my tattoo
Rie – Our bodies as a dumpster for junk food, yup that’s pretty much accurate! Sometimes I just don’t give a flying flip about how awful something is and I just shovel it on in. Yuck.
Bea – Welcome back! You can get those 4 pounds off in no time
Stripe – I like the sound of your tattoo, and I love the color purple! Uhg, packing, I don’t envy you there, that’s for sure. Whenever DH and I have to pack and move we nearly end up getting a divorce! It’s just so darn stressful. I think the kitchen is the worst/hardest to pack too, because you’re still using most of the stuff up until the day you leave (unless you order tons of take out). I don’t mind when people help me though, in fact I welcome it. Anything to get it done sooner, it’s such a big job!
Sun – Great job on your running! Also on the 8 pounds and 2 inches! Don’t you just love when your old clothes start to fit again? It’s like getting a whole new wardrobe!
Kawaii – That really sucks about your WI! I was thinking the same thing as Stripe though, could it be that you are retaining water because of the time in your cycle it is? I’ve got my fingers crossed for you. You’re right, 1800 calories isn’t a whole lot more than 1500 and so it doesn’t seem like you’re eating too much on accident. I feel you frustration, but remember, this too shall pass
Well my weekly WI went well – 134.8, and this morning’s was even better – 133.4! I couldn’t believe it. Well, I can, because that’s what happens when you actually stay on plan! Today will be the 6th day in a row of eating on plan for me. I’m thinking that I may have to adjust my goal weight a little bit and bring it down lower. Since having DS my body has changed a bit (for example my hips are wider) and fat is distributed a little differently, and I think I’ll like the way I look at a lower weight. I’m pretty short and large chested, even more so from nursing, and it’s easy for me to look rather, well, “matronly”. IDK, we’ll see when I get there, I can re-evaluate then. But I’m still going to get my full body massage reward when I hit 120!
Yesterday DH DS and I went on a picnic with some of DH’s classmates and it was a beautiful day for it. DH played a little baseball and DS and I went for a walk around the trails at the park. I kept my eating in check too and made sure to record what I did munch. I had to estimate the cals in a cookie, but I kept it high. We took DS to his swimming lesson and did our weekly shopping too. Then came home and I made chicken enchiladas and they turned out ok. I’ve never made them before, so I just sort of improvised. Anyone have any good enchilada recipes they feel like sharing?
Oh, also yesterday our fridge decided to take another crap! UGH!!! Talk about frustrating. I was worried all of our food would go bad. The problem is that the freezer didn’t defrost and a ton of ice built up behind the back panel and which prevented the fridge from cooling off. We’ve had this problem before, and got it “fixed” only about a month ago. It freaking sucks. We had to take out all of our frozen food and put it in a cooler with dry ice and put some dry ice in the fridge. Then we had to defrost the freezer, not just what you can see but DH had to get the drill out and remove the back panel and defrost all the coils. It is a chore! Stupid old fridge… Anyway, the problem seems to be resolved for the time being
Today DH and I are going out for lunch with some of our friends, and I’m trying to decide what to eat. I posted the menu in the General Chatter section for suggestions. I think I’ll end up with one of the salads, I just have to decide which one. It’s a decent restaurant, so the salads won’t be boring and it should be relatively easy to estimate calories (which I hate doing because I’m kind of anal about calories and weighing things so I know just how much I’m eating). Anyway, I’m sure it will be fine so long as I don’t go overboard on appetizers or anything.
Hope everyone has a great day! It’s actually sunny here today, so I’m already in a good mood!

rainbow I rested it over the weekend and am going to trying running again tomorrow. If it persists I will definetly get it looked at, thanks. Moving is the pits! I did it twice in one year and was really fried about it. I still have boxes that need sorting. Maybe I will jsut throw them out completely.
kawaii pace those eggs girl! You can fit them in
missy love love love fitting into old clothes. Now I am just waiting until I am in medium pants again. I remember fitting into them and feeling so good. I think at the end of the 160s it will happen.
Did you do well at the lunch?congrats on the low weigh in!
welcome dani86!
Soooo I went to the natural springs yesterday with some friends. Left DD at home with the hubby and had a day of fun and lots of swimming and frisbee. Had a great time. Wake up this morning with my period and such a soreness from all the working out the day before. I feel sick with the aches. Also my knee is still bothering me. So annoying. I want to run tomorrow and hope I feel up to it. AND i am up 3 lbs from bloat. Basically I feel like crap. hehe tomorrow will better. I am eating a chocolate candy bar right now but I ate ok all day so I am not worried.

Kawaii: A full box?!!! Woah!
Dani: Hey!! Welcome!
Rainbow: I love moving. I do it at least once a year..
Sun: I am so jealous, I wish it was warm enough here for water fun. Glad you got to go out. Have you had knee pain before or just this time?
Well, I think I over did it today. I burnt 1000 calories in cardio and my workout buddy wanted to do the full line of weights and I hate saying no. But I have 7 cups of water already today. But I am doing bad on the food front. I have a damaging sweet tooth on my period. And kroger brand icecream is my weekness. Oh I love it. So freaking much. I am super excited. A local woman owned and ran tattoo shop had their first anniversary and I got my nose pierced for $10!! Super excited!! but I keep forgetting that it's there and then I feel something on my nose and I try to wipe it away. That does not feel good!

Kawaii McDonald's IS evil! Haha cadbury eggs - are they creme eggs?
MissyKrissy I love purple haha, there is no way it would have been any other colour! Yup, kitchen is so frustrating. I packed everything from the kitchen yesterday, bar things I figured I'd need in the next week - and then later yesterday afternoon I decided I wanted to bake a cake or cookies and I'd packed all the baking bowls and utensils away - probably just as well as I don't need that stuff around me at the moment!! I'm pretty jealous of your good weigh ins! I cheat when I make enchiladas and use the Old El Paso box from the supermarket...but they're good. I also once used a can of green enchilada sauce from the American store here, I can't remember the brand but it was pretty tasty.
dani Hey there!
sun Ah, your poor knee. Doesn't sound too good. I also took a break from running over the weekend, but that was more out of laziness/busyness. I feel you on the three pounds, I am up too, so annoying!
~Ugh. So I weighed this morning and I am up 2.5kg! WHAT! That's like 5.5 pounds! I know it can't all be actually weight seeing as that's just since Friday, but seriously, way to kill my buzz - I was hoping never to see anything above 63.5 again, I thought I was over all this up and downing - but no.
My weekend wasn't amazing, and I am owning the fact I made some REALLY poor food choices, so lets just hope it's sodium. I got a lot of packing done, all I really need to do now is my clothes and stuff out of the bathroom. And make sure I don't forget stuff like my floor rug! Our current roommates are staying in the house so it's kind of confusing me since it won't be completely empty - I'm worried I'll forget stuff!!
I'm pretty sad about moving as I actually really like my house and it's location, but I have to remember why we're moving and the extra money I'll be able to save not paying rent.
I didn't run in the weekend (aside from Friday night) so I have to get back on it this week. I'm sure it will be fine. Food this week will be interesting - we're trying to empty out the freezer of meats and also not buy a bunch of stuff before we move - not too sure what I'm doing with the pork I defrosted over night!

bea I think if you burned anywhere close to 1000 calories working out, you can eat some icecream ahaha. Nose piercing sounds fun! I always wanted to do it but never had the guts to for some reason! You really love moving? I don't mind the moving so much, but the packing...UGH.

bea I have never had knee pain before. Its definitely from the running. Nice on the nose pericing. I have one too You burned 1000 calories?! wow that is awesome. I am on my period too and had a chocolate bar yesterday.
rainbow Don't you just hate the scale flucuations? I was talking to my hubby about it and men don't have to deal with that. He was like " women's bodies are a fine tuned machine!" haha too bad about moving but like you said that extra money will feel great!
welcome theaimes!
So I just finished my run! Felt good. Knee not normal but not bad like yesterday. Gonna just see how the week goes with normal runs. Luckily I only run about 2 and a half miles so not a lot of pressure on it yet. Today I have errands to run while DD is in school and will try and keep myself from eating the world while I have my period. Lost the 3 lb jump overnight. Usually disappears after the first day of TOM so that is a relief. And saw 169 on the scale! In the 160s for the first time in a year! yay me! Thats about it for now. Have a great monday!

Welcome Dani86 and theaimes! Jump right in, glad to have you.
Sun – Great job on 169!!! Truth be told I went a little overboard at lunch (3 biscuits, 1 pint of porter beer, a handful of deep fried pickles with ketchup, ½ my chicken salad, and one scoop of chocolate ice cream, yikes!), but I estimated those calories to be around 1500 so I pretty much just didn’t eat anything else for the rest of the day until late in the evening when I ate some pineapple and a salad, so I still stayed under 1700 calories. Since your knee has been bothering you, have you tried swimming? I love to swim. It’s one of the few exercises that my body actually enjoys doing.
Bea - $10 for a nose piercing? That’s a great deal! I paid $60 for mine.
Stripe - I bet your weight will settle down once this whole moving business is over. What with all the stress and disruptions in your routine and meal plans, it would be a small wonder if you weren’t holding onto extra water.
Well, today my WI went well: stayed at 133.4. Yesterday my calories were in check too, so today will be my 8th day on plan. Although, I am having a battle of the wills right now to not dive into my fridge and eat all a ton of leftovers! Yesterday I made Cowboy Casserole (OMG, SO GOOD!!!) but it certainly isn’t “diet food” (lean ground beef, corn, tomato sauce, cheese, and tater tots) and I’m thinking of re-naming it Cowboy Crack because it’s that addictive. I also made some fruit pizza, so that’s calling my name too. They are definitely the types of foods that need to be eaten in moderation…
Nothing really exciting to report here. It’s another grey day, but it promises to be warmer and hopefully drier than yesterday. I’m off to peruse the forums a little, then play with DS. That little boy cannot get enough of Mama, and this Mama can’t get enough of him!
Have a great day all!

Thanks for the welcome you all!!! I'm on day 2 of the IP diet...It's going pretty good. I'm down about 3 lbs by my scale but the one at the clinic weighs me way higher so I guess we shall see come Thursday what it has to say about me.. lol

theaimes Welcome! It's annoying dealing with different scales, the ones at my doctor always weigh me higher too (that could also be due to the fact I'm always wearing clothes when I weigh there!)
sun Glad to hear your knee wasn't as bad! And congrats on getting into the 160's, that's awesome! I took a look at your photos and you can definitely see a real difference, go you!
Missy Yup, sometimes I feel like stress and the general anxiety stuff I have just really don't help with my weight loss efforts! So frustrating. Man, that food you ate sounds good. I have always wanted to try fried pickles but they are definitely not something you would find in New Zealand, or at least not that I know of! That casserole also sounds amazing. Once I made chilli with things like tater tots on top, god that stuff was tasty.
~So luckily my weight was back down again, definitely some bloat going on there. Still about a kg over my low from last week, but I am positive that I'll see that low, if not a lower weight, by the end of this week.
Unfortunately I woke up this morning not feeling 100%. My head feels a little foggy and sore and I just feel kind of achy all over. And my throat is a little scratchy. I know the symptoms, but I'm trying to stay positive in that they will be symptoms and just that - I don't want a full blown illness of any sort, now is just the worst timing!!
Managed to plan all the meals for this week to conveniently empty the freezer of all our food before we move, so I'll only be transporting some dry and packaged foods, which is fine.
Did my run last night, it was fine. Planned on running Mon-Thurs evenings this week, so that's one evening down, three to go. I figure moving on Saturday will be my exercise and I'll take Friday and Sunday off.
