my mom and my aunt (both in their 60s) went to curves for 6 months and both lost about 20 lbs. my cousin (18) went for a month, stopping her other workouts and said it was horribly boring. she said it wasn't enough of a challenge for her and actually gained weight (but her percent body fat went up). probably cuz she was workingout pretty intensely and stopped thinking curves would help. i think it's a great workout IF you add other workouts to it as well, OR if you're just beginning. i can promise you this, it's not as intense as the 30 shred you're doing. go jillian
