Thanks guys!

namaste: it's true, movies are not real life and emotional happens. i felt better after ranting about it over here. i'm still a bit grumpy today, but better, i really hope it means my period is coming though! wah! what's meetup? well yeah, i know i need a hobby, haha... it's kinda why i joined the gym... so i would have something to do during long days when i'm bored :p and hang in there too!! having family around can be pretty overwhelming... yay for pretty nails though!! :)

katbot: thanks! good luck with the medical stuff and congrats on all your fitness resulotions! swimming is fun!! :)

ok, so today, i am NOT stepping on the scale. lol. i had a slow start to my day, but now i'm pretty excited since, i was skyping with my mom, and telling her how i was so bummed that i'd lost my ipod on NYE, and she was like. well... go buy a new one with your credit card and i'll pay your bill. and i was like "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!??!". she said it'd be my christmas present. I'm soooo happy! i was really miserable without music when i'm out and about, and i have really long commutes on the train, so i'm really excited! gonna go today :D

btw, since we are all talking about nails, here's a picture of mine, so i can brag a bit... ;)

Hey all and happy new year!!

I'm back on the bandwagon and hoping that 2013 can be the year I really make some positive changes that stick...

I go back to uni tomorrow and I'm also hoping to hit the gym tomorrow morning and make good use of my membership before it expires.

gooood luck for this week/month/year everyone!

Hotaruchan: The job would be crazy awesome, if I can get it, I think it's pretty competitive. And I hear ya on the rewashing non-fitting clothes. I had a huge load to wash a few weeks ago. Now I am slowly putting things on ebay to make a little money out of it. Though, I have a (not so slight) shopping addiction. : /

Lisa: That's crazy! I'm glad nobody got hurt. I wonder if that thing could send out electricity. But your new scale sounds awesome.

Katbot: hope that worked out ok. Migraines are super scary!

Mozzy: Good Luck!!

Kawaii: Relationships are messy and gross. But they are also kind of nice. Do you want to be with him or is it just cause you're together kind of things? Those nails are crazy awesome! I wish I could do that to mine.. but I kill them as soon as they're on. It's bad. The last time was for prom like 6 years ago. The next morning I tore the acrylics off! The pain! ahhh!

Emmy: Good luck

Namaste: Is moving out an option? I've noticed you've had a difficult time with them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am having motivation issues. But today I broke out the scale, and was pleasantly surprised. I am only up 3 pounds! Which is great cause I felt like it was I had a gain of 15 or so.

But tomorrow starts my online classes so I have all the time in the world to work out Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. Which is great!! And my Tuesday/Thursday classes end at 3 so I'll be able to stop by the gym easily then. Thank god for no 5 hour breaks!!!!!!!

I received a Zumba wii game for my birthday so I am finally gonna break that out today, after I print out the horrible 6 syllabi. I may not have any paper after this, or ink! Ah!

And my mood needs to improve. I woke up to my baby brother dancing? or something on the living room floor above me and I swear it sounds like an invasion is happening. This leads to a good note! I almost forgot about. My mom got a 2 bedroom apartment so I will have a bedroom there! It will be my permanent residence and I will be at my dad's on school nights because it is a 20 min ride compared to an hour. And it's free dinner!! My mom's is closer to friends so I might actually have social interaction with someone other than my boyfriend and my friend that I see when she comes from Illinois to visit family once a month. I hate living away from everyone I know and living away from the city area with 0 people my age here!

Kawaii- Your nails are soooo pretty! I wish I could do nail art but I have a problem coloring inside the lines, so to speak, so I get them done when I have the money and the time. :) Meetup is a website that connects you with various clubs and groups meeting up in the city you live in. Going to the gym is a great start, I met a lot of cool people through the various classes they offered at the gym.

Bea- For the moment, not really. I'm in school full-time and I don't really have the means to get an apartment right now. My fiancé is also in school full time and only works on weekends so us moving in together is just not possible. We don't have the income. I lived with him for awhile, but I felt kind of intrusive because he lives with his mom and I didn't want to just be the annoying roommate that just took up space. All that to say, nah, it's not really possible. I guess I just get frustrated sometimes. :)

Emmy- Good job and good luck! :)

I got this really amazing top this weekend on a final sale rack at Loft this weekend. I have this black blazer that I fit into recently (it is a 16!) and it looks really great with the top. I am very excited and look forward to wearing it. :)

Oh, and I have been upstarted by my mom. She got these amazing Ugg boots from Nordstrom and they are gorgeous! They aren't fuzzy boots but they are heels with a fuzzy cuff. It's too bad she wears a different size then me, because it would SO be on, lol.

I also went to a running store the other day, with my twig of a best friend. It was weird, because I was certain the sales person would talk to her first since she is skinny and looks more likely to run. (She doesn't.) The guy who was manning the store that day actually talked to ME the entire time about my running and my C25K schedule, and my obsession with neon running shoes (don't judge). I felt so awesome that day. :)

Well, I guess I should greet the day for now. Have a great day all.

Hi! Can I join in on this chat? :o

namaste984 01-06-2013 08:37 PM

Bulletproof- Absolutely! :) Glad to have you here.

Bulletproof Heart 01-06-2013 08:41 PM

@namaste984 - Thanks! Its been so long since ive been on this site but I kinda lost motivation and once I stopped going on this site I stopped losing weight. Hoping coming back will get me back into gear!

namaste984 01-06-2013 09:57 PM

Bulletproof- I feel ya! After gaining 42 of 50 pounds lost back I just decided to nip it in the bud. I started out in a bit of a rut but I went to this new running shop in town and this guy working there made me feel like a million dollars, that I wasn't too fat to run and that I could do it. I ran/walked a mile today and put three miles on the bike. I feel awesome and I wish I had gotten it done sooner! Best of luck to you on your journey, I know you can do it! :)

KawaiiCandie 01-07-2013 04:18 AM

bea: no... it's one of those "i'm more in love with him than he is with me" kinda thing... :( i love him very much. omg, i can't believe you tore 'em off the day after! they can't have been very good acrylics though otherwise that would've been impossible/you'd have torn your real nail out... actually, mine are gel. but thanks! ^^ congrats on being not as worst-off as you thought ;) and good luck with getting back on the workout track! let us know about that zumba game!!

namaste: i didn't do those myself!! lol. i can barely paint my nails... lol. congrats on the new clothes! that's always a good feeling ;)

Bulletproof: of course! the more the merrier! :) and join the club... i've been on-and-off this site for 2 years... hopefully this time i'm sticking around! lol.

Hiya guys! had a pretty slow day today since i'm still on hols, haha... feel a little bit giddy since everyone i know is already back to school/work, but i'm only starting on wednesday. actually, technically i'm starting next week cuz i only have to go in for one day this week. lol. my schedule this semester is gonna be such a joke, haha. and i still get paid the same!!!! (i love my job)

so anyways, i just chilled and did 30DS. i decided to take another set of progress pics (don't worry, i'm not showing you) and upload them on the computer to see if i could see a difference. honestly, these days i've been pretty frustrated because i really can't see a difference at all. maybe in my face a little, and definitely in my boobs, but other than that... i mean i lost 15lbs! shouldn't my clothes be loser?? so anyways, i was looking at the pictures, and though i still have my fats in all the same places, it does look a tiny bit smaller. the most noticable thing though is that i have soooo much less cellulite that i did a month ago! crazy! not saying my thighs are smooth or anything, but there really is a noticeable difference. so i guess i'll take it!!!

not much else to report other that that... hope y'all have a good monday!

namaste984 01-07-2013 04:13 PM

Kawaii- Lol well you never know... some people have the knack for nail painting. Like I said though, it's not my forte either. I definitely prefer the gel polish too because it doesn't budge for a couple of weeks. Good job on the 30DS, that's hard core and I'm sure you'll see even more awesome results as you keep doing it.

Bea- Ouuuuuch @ ripping acrylics off. I have only ripped them off by accident maybe three weeks after getting them done because they were growing too long and got caught on something or bent. Mine are tips though, not the full acrylic nail. :)

It has been a good day for me. My fiancé started his first day of culinary school today and loved it, and I worked out this morning and signed up for some classes at the gym: Hatha yoga, Piyo (which is a combination of pilates, yoga, and strength training), and Zumba. Sadly, the belly dancing class has been replaced by line dancing for reasons I don't quite understand and so I will have to wait til next term to see if they offer it.

On Wednesday it will be nice, so I'm thinking of taking a walk in a park not far from my house. It is a flat four-mile trail around the lake, and it is absolutely gorgeous! I think I may start with two miles, and add the last two after awhile. :)

That's about all I have to report. Have a great day!

KawaiiCandie 01-07-2013 05:58 PM

aaahhh.... scale hates me this morning, wtf... T_T first i stepped on it and it said 80.4kg, which is the same as yesterday and still higher than before my cheat day, but then it started wavering and went up and up and up to 81kg!! i was like WTF?!?! i haven't seen that number in 2 weeks. i know there is no way in heck i gained 2lbs in like a few days, especially considering i've been eating clean and working out, so where the heck those THAT come from??? meh.

this morning i did a "practice" get up early thing to try and get myself out of vacation mode, since i start work again tomorrow. lol. the goal is to get myself awake, do my workout, and then be out of the house before 10am so i can go to the doctor's and get myself check for something that's been bugging me for a couple of weeks. let's SEE. lol.

I am pretty grumpy atm... not a morning person. lol.

namaste: true. one of my friends is really good at nail art and has these long amazing real nails... hate her. lol. I hope i'll keep seeing more 30DS results today! especially considering my rant of the day! congrats on the workout and signing up for classes! should be cool!

wanderer 01-07-2013 07:24 PM

Just wanted to pop in and say hello! I am new here, but hoping to not be too much of a stranger.

namaste984 01-07-2013 07:35 PM

wanderer- :welcome: I read your introduction, you are very inspiring to me and I am sure that you can find a way to lose weight. Simple exercises like crunches, sit-ups, push-ups, etc are very easy to do in limited space, and you can vary the intensity as time goes on. Doesn't sound very fancy, but even a little exercise helps. :)
------
I am coming up with some new rewards to help me get motivated to go to my gym classes and keep up with them long term. I am hoping that will work because I really need to keep it up. :)

Mozzy 01-07-2013 09:06 PM

I'm having a bad day, just wanted to say it "out loud"

namaste984 01-07-2013 10:38 PM

Mozzy-  I feel ya girly, saw another post you wrote and I am going through the same thing. I did hardcore running yesterday, and the scale only showed a .4 loss. It went down for a little while as it usually does midmonth, but it went back up and has stagnated right at 229-ish. I am doing different things like altering my workouts each day and changing my eating patterns a little, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a huge loss and for you too! :crossed: :goodluck:

(I'm loving the emoticons tonight, lol) :carrot:
