Default 13 pounds to loose need help

hello ladies,

I need to loose 13 pounds I go to the gym 4x a week and eating right but I am not loosing weight. I need advice thanks in advance

I'm sure there are a bunch of people here who would love to help, but we would need to know a little more information. What does your diet consist of? What do you do at the gym? For how long? Do you track your food, or count calories? What system are you using?

I'm in the same boat. Are you using weights while at the gym or just doing cardio?

thanks ladies, I am not doing any diet but I am more carefull about what I am eating and when I go to the gym I only do cardio and abdo sugestions will be great also I had a baby 3 months ago and I am really looking to loose hips and stomach fat. hope that help

A lot of people on here say that diet is for weight loss and exercise is for fitness. While it is wonderful that you are exercising, I would consider tracking your food and calories. I think that will help you make sure your diet is helping you lose weight. As long as you have a calorie deficit each day then you will lose weight.

Hey Loka,

Going to the gym will not combat a bad diet. You need to pay attention to how many calories you are eating.

You can use a calorie calculator to see how many calories you should be eating. One example is here. It pretty much gives you different options.

As for keeping track of what you are eating, do you have a smartphone? There are both Iphone Apps and Android apps that you just scan the item into and it tracks the calories. However, you can always just keep a paper version (aka a food journal). Yes, its tedious, but it really becomes routine and for most people it works! Plus, if you eat relatively the same stuff it is pretty easy to track since instead of having to add up the calories again or look on the package, you just look at the last time you ate it!

Websites online also offer things that add the calories and keep track of them for you online!

you can sign up for my fitness pal for free, then use it on either the computer or your phone or ipod. It has a ton of foods, so it makes tracking easy and when you sign up it will calculate a calorie goal for you. You can also track your exercise and weight loss there too.
