StephanieM- congrats on making it into the 160s!!!
Down two pounds from yesterday, so now I'm only up 3.2 from Thanksgiving. Guess I need to be good a few more days!

Thanks, penmage! Keep eating clean, watch the salt and lots of water and you'll recover from Thanksgiving before you know it
I was 170.4 today, but that's okay. Normal fluctuation, especially when we were out all day yesterday and I ate a bar and a shake for lunch instead of something I made at home.

Yeah StephanieM, fluctuations totally happen even if you just eat something slightly different. The important thing is staying on track even in the face of disappointment. Although, at 55 pounds lost, you shouldn't be feeling disappointed at all!

I went from 194.4 to 146.6 before I got married and had my daughter, so I'm all too familiar with fluctuations! Being a daily weigher keeps me realistic about what affects my weight. Plus, what if I hit a new lowest weight ever and I missed it because I didn't weigh that day? I couldn't handle that! haha

Stephanie- That's my thought too! I have to see it the moment it happens. None of this "wait til the official weigh in day" stuff. I don't have the patience for that! If I could have a meter strapped to my person that told me whenever I lost a tenth of a pound, or something, I would totally do it. Heck, a hundredth of a pound would be alright too.
Completely off topic, but your daughter is adorableeeee!

Stephanie M, I love the way you think. If I never weigh myself everyday, I may very well miss a new low. Excellent positive thinking.
BTW, I am new. I am back at 3fatchicks because it works. I've found in my own experience that it works. There have been very few places that do, but I know this one does. Excited to be back and ready to commit to weight loss

Back up three pounds I think maybe initially when I thought I was down to 11st 9lbs then it was water weight. I need to get there by losing fat! At least I have started exercising now though! And yeah, totally agree with the weighing every day thing. In fact, if I don't weigh everyday then I am prone to getting complacent.

No worries
Fluctuations do happen. I was kind of happy to get on the scale and see that I weighed 177.6 this morning. It's definately a reminder to keep pressing on. It's nice to meet this group who are trying to get out of the 170s and 160s. That's definetely me.
I recently had a miscarriage, and after getting on the scale, I realized I weighed 178 pounds. It broke my heart. Here I was, without a baby, but still feel like I have the baby weight. On top of it, this is my second miscarriage in a row, and I am only 28. It starts to make me think having children will never happen for me.
I need to supercharge my life again, lose some weight, and get back on the bandwagon. I am glad I have this little venue to share my experience.

penmage, that's a good idea! I wish there was a device that could do that instead of constantly weighing all the time, haha. Thanks She is pretty cute, I had her two days after my birthday She will be 1 on December 30th.
Thanks, librarygirl111! I was on 3fc in the past as well, it really helped me lose a lot of weight. There is so much support here.
I'm sorry about your miscarriages. Since this is your second, have you seen a doctor about it? When you have more than one they may start looking at factors. The positive side of things is you can get pregnant, and I hope this next baby sticks for you. I'm glad we can be here for you as well, so you can talk about it.
LucyOlivia, same here! Daily weighing is another tool to keep me real and on track. Knowing I have to face the scale the next morning keeps me eating clean.
170.4 again, just more motivation to be good. I won't treat myself to a whiskey tonight. I was going to start working out again today but my motivation just wasn't there. I ate well though, lots of veggies, good proteins, and healthy fats. Also a ton of water. If I kick it up with some exercise I bet my weight will go down even faster.
I've decided I want GSP RushFit for Christmas. I need something new to change it up, since I normally lift weights.

Haha I had no idea what a GSP rushfit was! I guess it hasn't come to England yet! But it is similar to the 'insanity' workout programme isn't it? Sounds like a fantastic idea and it is proof that you've been trained to make healthy choices if you even want exercise stuff for christmas!

LucyOlivia, yeah it's like Insanity but from what I'm reading it's a little less cardio and a little more strength training! I'm trying to compare the two right now, I'm leaning towards the GSP one though.
I would really like a treadmill but I think that's a little too pricey to ask for!
170.4 again today! At least my weight isn't going up, haha. I really need to get exercising!

Hope you don't mind if I join you here! I weighed in at Weight Watchers today at 179.6 lbs. Woo! That is, by far, the lowest weight I have ever, ever been. I went straight from kids sizes to plus sizes in middle school and never looked back. I'm less than 180 now - incredible!
