Hello ladies! I've been up on the scale for a while, so I was hiding! Weighed this morning, hoping to be back down to where I got off track, 165.0, and was VERY pleased to see 164.0!! One more pound til I'm overweight!!!

Hi bandarina! Welcome aboard

I wondered what happened to you, penmage! Well done on being 164. I have been off track too, we'll get back on the wagon now.

Hi Ladies,

I'm new here and figured this was as good a place for a first post as any! Seeing as I'm not allowed a signature until I've proved I'm not a spammer I'll just write my stats out:

SW: 185
CW: 175.4
Mini Goal: 160
GW 1:150 (Out of overweight BMI)
GW 2: 130 (Mid-range healthy BMI)
UGW: 120 ish (Lower healthy BMI)

Though I've had a lot of success so far it still feels like I'm miles away from that 1st goal point, but I guess that's what comes from being impatient!

B x

My scale is low on batteries so it wouldn't work this morning. Tonight I am staying at my aunts house, so I won't be able to weigh in in the morning either. That means that Sunday will be my first weigh in in three days. I hope it's not terrible. I'm not a fan of being away from the scale and not being able to monitor my progress. Just wanted to let you know that I haven't disappeared. Also, posting here helps keep me accountable.

gatorgirl: really? i find sometimes it's better to weigh not too often, cuz you can see a more significant difference!! but then if the scale keeps you accountable... good luck!

morning! (or good night. lol) today scale was down .2kg for me! so that brings me sooooo close to 177 proper! 177.3lbs, eheh. happy ^_^

My scale only shows .5lb increments, and I weigh myself every morning. It kinda does make any progress seem...unimportant? I know what I weigh today but it means less because it can change daily (+ or -).

It takes the excitement out of things, because there is never a significant change. Yet I step on the scale every morning. Some mornings its really discouraging, because I'll be like two lbs heavier than I had been for the past few days. How do I learn to stay off the scale? lol

Can't let this thread get too far out of reach!

tinneranne2 - If you figure out how to stay off the scale, let me know, because I haven't figured it out yet!

I'm down to 170.8 lbs. So close to breaking out of the 170s!

Hello Everyone!

So, my biggest fear did not come true and I couldn't be happier! Having just reached the 170's before the Holidays, I was worried about getting off track after all the celebratory dinners, and get togethers, BUT I didn't I maintained my weight and actually, today weighed in at 178.6! YAY!

Now I have a super sprained ankle that I was ordered to keep off of, which will make working out challenging for the next week, but I'm determined to keep going.

epicskyline You are doing so well!! Not only are you almost out of the 170!! BUT you are also almost at a 100 pound loss!!!!! That's incredible and inspiring!!

gator and tinneranne: yeah, if you guys could learn to weigh less often, that'd be better, i think!! i aim for once a week but sometimes i do it 2 or 3 times, eheh...

epic: omg, you are so close!! good luck! XD

guys! guys! I'm very happy! today, i lost one more pound! i'm down to 176! but yeah, i was excited because my scale here is in kilos, so it goes down real slowly... and it was like, 80.something kilo for the longest time and today i saw 79.8!! it was only for a second cuz it kept flickering back to 80.0kg, but still!! i'm happy!! somehow it feels like a huge happiness to be out of the "80's" kilo version

KawaiiCandie, I'm a daily weigher. I love it, it keeps me accountable. I know and understand the fluctuations and I don't let them bother me. One of the reasons I love weighing daily is because I might see a new lowest weight! It also keeps me accountable. But how often you weigh is a personal thing, what makes me stay on plan may freak someone else out if they can't handle seeing the fluctuations. I understand both sides but I love daily weighing and will do it down to goal and through maintenance.

I'm back! I haven't been in this thread in awhile, I got off track with the holidays, New Years, my birthday and my daughters birthday. I finally feel like I can breathe again and focus on my diet and working out. Going to lift weights tomorrow and have been eating on plan for two days now. At 171.6 as of this morning.

I'm thrilled with my weigh in today! I'm at 177.4!!! I'm so excited about being firmly in the 170's!!!!

The Weigh-in debate...
I find that once a day works perfectly for me. Sometimes I weigh in more often than that, but it's out of pure curiosity. I only ever count my weight based on whatever it is each morning. I find that this gives me a sense of where I am, how I'm doing and allows me to have a clear idea with respect to what I do that works for weightloss, and what actions compromise it.

Go go go StephanieM! Just think, that extra ten minutes of working out could make the difference between the 170s and 160s!

My goal this month is to say sayonara to you guys (that was my goal last month too, but let's not mention that ) and to get a good heel stretch going on! I stretched for the first time in six months yesterday and it was so embarrassing! I can hardly do a bridge! Still, watch this space!
