I'll definitely join ! My new goal i set for the end of the year was to lose the last 38 lbs to get myself down to 190, but even just 30 lbs would be nice lol

I like to set myself completely achievable goals, so that I can strive for them confidently, as well as be proud when I reach and/or exceed them! For that reason, I think I want to lose 25 lbs by the new year - starting on October 1st. BUT...my (super secret) goal is to be down 30 lbs by then! It's not official, but if I make it there, I will be thrilled!

I'm in!!! I would love to be solidly in onederland by the new year! It will help me because I want to start riding again in Jan. 2013.

I've recently recommitted myself and my most recent commitment is to 86 the alcohol. That is my biggest downfall so out it goes!

I've started my workouts again and will add 30DS into the mix for next month.

Although my ticker says otherwise (it's probably more realistic for me, but heeey!), I am down for 25 by the new year, putting me at a normal weight of 141!

My numbers haven't really been moving, but it's worth a shot!

Exclamation Official Challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ok girls I'm doing it! I'm posting a spreadsheet for this challenge!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you are currrently participating in the Halloween Challenge, PLEASE continue your participation. This Challenge is a MUCH simplified version of the Halloween Challenge and will take us into the New Year...

It's the Race to 30 - New Year's Challenge!

PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS

This challenge is for all of those who had expressed their desire to lose 30 pounds by the New Year! The challenge will officially start on OCT 1/2012, and end on DEC 31/2012.

This group of ladies is NOT waiting for the new year to get a fresh start! Oh, no! We are getting ourselves ready to welcome the new year and everything it has to offer, as our best selves!!! We are going to look HOT!

RULES RULES RULES RULES

(1) You must weigh in once during the week on whatever day is your weigh-in day (begining Monday)

(2) If you miss a week, it's ok, just put a dash in that slot. If you are missing from the weigh in for more than two weeks I will try to create something of a standby list (as there is in the Halloween Challenge) and you will need to request to be taken off standby to rejoin.

*If you know you will be away, make a note in the slot for that week and you will be ok

(3) Even though the challenge starts on Oct. 1st, you can join anytime (before or after that date) simply type in your strating weight and begin tracking your progress on the first challenge week that you join.

(4) Since the goal here is to lose 30 lbs (hence the RACE TO 30 CHALLENGE), EVERYONE will be set to the 30 pounds goal. Of course if you want to lose less or more, THAT'S OK! The 30 if for some good natured, and fun competition. Ultimately it's the JOURNEY NOT THE DESTINATION that counts.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS... (3 steps ONLY! If you're doing more, you're not doing it right!!!!!)

(1) Open this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...FV6ZFVtY3J6RHc

(2) Type in your username at the end of the existing list.

(3) Type in your starting weight

THAT'S IT. I'll do the rest! LEAVE THE REST UP TO ME, please.
(I will try to sum up all the totals on Mondays for the previous week.)

I'm really excited!!!

I'm not sure if it's motivation or pressure that I felt as soon as I entered my profile haha

lol! No pressure!!!

The goal is to get healthy. Sometimes a little bit of pressure is ok, but mostly, usually, we are the ones who put that pressure on ourselves.

Because I put in my info, I'll aim for the 30! I'm not sure how realistic it is, but aim for the stars right? :P

Yay username added! Time to get on it! I'm not sure if I'll actually reach the 30 lbs since I'm eating a daily calories to only lose about 7 lbs per month, but I'm hoping for at least 20-25!

Well, if we count this week then it's 15 weeks until the New Year and that works out to exactly 2 pounds per week (but doesn't allow ANY room for error.) If you start on the first of Oct. Then it's 14 weeks which still works out to about 2.1lbs/week. It'll be hard, especially since the holidays are all in there (Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas) BUT hopefully this challenge will be exactly what I need to stay on plan druring that time.

I know it's possible because I just did it. I did lose 30 pounds since July 1st. Of course I'm wondering now if I can do it again... I guess we'll see...

My plan is to lose than more than the 2 pounds per week in the begining and in Nov. so that when the holidays roll around, I'll have some room where I can slow it down (OR not slow it down and lose more than 30!!)

Good Luck everyone!

Can you imagine being 30 pounds lighter in 3 months???

This is my first challenge; I've always been too scared of failing to do them in the past. But maybe it's just what I need to get going again!
