Following any specific plan: No, I have herbalife, but I think it makes me too hungry because that's all you're allowed to eat for two meals a day.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I'm getting married and I really want to start a family within the next couple years. I know that in order to have a healthy pregnancy I need to get in shape first, plus I want to look good on my honeymoon!

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I have been struggling with sleep walking and sleep eating for the past few years, often once a week. Also what would be described at night eating syndrome most nights a week.

Following any specific plan: Counting calories, trying to keep the output higher than the input. Exercising.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I'm not going to starve myself this time and suffer the eventual rebound.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I suffered with an eating disorder/disordered eating from the age 17-23, where I was heavily restricting my calories, exercising excessively and the beginning years also included purging through vomiting. After trying to recover and live a life not obsessed with the food, and calories I woudn't allow myself to have, I ended up flipping completely to the other side of the spectrum and basically binging my way up to my highest weight ever (165lbs). I hate the lack of energy I have now, I hate how it makes me feel, I hate how I'm afraid to show myself to anyone who knew me a few years ago when I was thin..

I want to get down to a healthy weight in a healthy way this time, and not go over board like I once did.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am the biggest I have ever been except this time I can actually do something about it. In the past I would lose weight quickly through unhealthy means and gain it back two-fold, this time I plan on loosing it progressively and adjusting my entire lifestyle instead of just doing a quick fix.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I am very fun but extremely shy, I have a hard time joining groups to address my issues but now seems like a good time to start.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Starting this is the most I've ever weighed, and I vowed to never get above 180, well I'm here and I'm trying to get rid of it. I want to be sexy for me, not for anyone else.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I am studying and training to go into the Coast Guard so that I am healthy to start with, and not struggling to make it in boot camp.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I had anorexia at 14 years old and the starvation habit still lingers to this day. It's hard to learn to accept that the weight will come off slowly and not overnight like it did when I was sick. Also, the anorexia developed into binge eating which is where I gained weight, so it is hard to stop binge eating too.

Following any specific plan: Just calorie counting with exercise

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: This is my first time being single and independent in about five years. I am also finished school and no longer feel the need to "stress eat". I just have a lot of freedom right now.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I'm very self conscious about my weight which is makes me shy around new people, so I am really excited to have found this forum where no one will judge anyone for their weight or appearance. It's a great support system.

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: This is a tough one. I've been wanting to lose weight for nearly my whole life, and I've yo-yo-ed quite a bit. My most recent start (and hopefully the lasting one!) was mid-March.

Starting Weight:155 (most recent starting weight...highest was in the 170s)

Present Weight:139.5 (THIS MORNING! WOOHOO!)

Goal Weight:125

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weight loss: Carbs and Mexican food. Rice, bread, tortilla chips, burritos, tacos; it's a challenge to give up! Snacking too. Comments also get to me quickly too. Some people do the 'oh well, you look fine how you are!' which is frustrating. On one hand, I appreciate the comment, but aren't I the one in charge of my own body? Shouldn't I be doing what is right for me and what's healthy for me?

Following any specific plan: Not really. Mostly clean-eating, drinking plenty of water (I was NOT doing this at all before, and it's been a key in the last few weeks), and hitting the gym as well as doing workouts at home.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Since I've last started to really try and lose weight, things have changed slightly. I don't have much of a sweet tooth (which has helped immensely) and I've stopped drinking soda (8 months free!). I've also become more self-disciplined and I've got more internal motivation.

Anything else you would like to share with us: INTJ. Slytherin house. Self-professed wine snob and coffee snob. Live and breathe Harry Potter.
