28 lbs in 24 weeks plan of attack

My weight loss plan is divided into 4 week increments:

week 0: 139 (my current weight, starting to get back in shape)
week 4: 131
week 8: 125
week 12: 120
week 16: 116
week 20: 113
week 24: 111 (I have a small build so I will be slim and muscular at this weight and be able to run and bike long distances. Fitness is my ultimate goal.)

Ultimately, it will be a little less than 1.2lbs/week of weight loss on average. I just wanted to divide the weight loss into a more realistic distribution as everyone is aware of the fact that weight comes off a lot quicker at the beginning of a new regime and dramatically slows down later.

I think this seems like a feasible plan (though I know it will be a challenge that will take a whole lot of mental and physical strength).

I plan to use this site for support and to update on my progress. If anyone has a similar plan/goal I would love to have a buddy to message for support.

Good luck to everyone and their weight loss endeavors! Excited to join you all on your journey! :carrot:

Good luck meeting your goal. Sounds like you have a plan, have you decided on your diet plan?

I'm a pretty healthy eater already, so just slight modifications to my diet and less food than I normally eat. Lots of lean proteins (chicken, low fat dairy, eggs/egg whites, trying to avoid cheeses and red meats) plus tons of vegetables. I also have to incorporate whole grains and fruits for some carbs because working out excessively on chicken and vegetables just won't do it for me, so definitely berries, apples, brown rice, and whole grain bread and crackers. I love peanut butter and every kind of nut so that's definitely high cal food I'm going to have to limit a bit. I'm not planning on cutting anything out completely. Hopefully I see some results!

This plan looks perfect to me.... We are almost the same weight-height. I will like to join you, my lack of English some times don't let me to join post, but i can try if you are ok. We can check in this thread.

How often are you planing on WI?

Thanks guys!

And yeah we can definitely update on here if you want to join! That's more motivating for me :)

I like to check my weight weekly (every Monday since today is day 1). My weight can fluctuate so much from day to day depending on what type of workouts I did or what meals I ate. I find it much more motivating to see a steady decline over time rather than a +/-3 lb change in one day.

So excited to get fit!
