Had a tough weekend and ate lots of comfort foods (fast foods) which made me stray big time from my diet. I feel lost right now. My head is telling me to follow another diet but I don't know what to do anymore. I also need to up my exercise. I feel overwhelmed! I know I won't have a lost tomorrow and it's driving me mad. I tried counting calories but I struggle big time with that. Any suggestions diet wise? (other than counting calories lol)
Hey Sophie, I know how you feel.. I also had a disastrous weekend. I went home to visit family for my grandmothers and sisters birthdays, tack mothers day onto that as well, and that means a LOT of pasta (we are Italian) and a lot of cake... And no, against my better judgment, I did not hold myself back.
Here is what I did do: Listened to my body.
When you are feeling in a funk like this, why not just listen to your body? Only eat when you are hungry, and not till you are full (as it will always lead to over eating (at least for me) ) but rather until you are not hungry anymore. Weight loss will happen much more slowly than calorie counting or any other kind of "diet", but it will happen. Just be conscious of WHAT you eat (try to eat healthy... I like to stick to whole foods) and stop eating when you are not hungry anymore.
Another trick I pull on my self is smaller dishes.
Thanks JayOhWhy It most definitely was!! Samantha 0.8 is an amazing loss to see on the scale!! Keep it up!! xo cierranevada Aww you can totally lose the weight AND look absolutely marvelous either way in your wedding dress!! Sophie I completely agree with Sabri!! Listen to your body. It's not unheard of we all have those days where we just don't know what we have gotten ourselves into. But the fact that you feel lost is a good sign, it's a sign of your body, or brain more likely rejecting the bad food choices you made. But it's okay, just pick up and carry on. I say stick to raw foods, fresh veggies and fruits, and drink plenty of water! It will not be that bad on the scale.
Thanks guys! That really means a lot. It gave me the push I needed to continue on. I know I didn't do good this weekend but time to push that aside and continue on my journey. I was doing well with 17DD, there's no reason to stop now. Yes, I messed up today a bit but didn't do too bad. I'm going to finish the day with good chicken stirfry. Something light since tomorrow is weigh in. Kinda nervous!!
Caramelkitty congratulations!!! I am excited to be below 210, it's amazing how motivated I get the closer I am to a round number Samantha that's an awesome loss, congrats!!
For the first time EVER I am actually looking forward to my weigh-in tomorrow. I was down with the flu all of last week but forced myself to stick to my diet as closely as possible and did some light walking when I felt up to it, so I think I'm in a good mental place to keep at this for a while
Weighed in this morning and stayed the EXACT same! 175.4! YAY! I didn't gain! I'm REALLY happy!! Now that that's over, time to get into gear and kick those pounds' ***!
Crap... I forgot to weigh in this morning I'll have to do that tomorrow since I already left for work. Boooo hopefully I'll be as lucky and not have gained. I've had suuuuxh a bad weekend/beginning of this week (food wise). I also need more motivation to work out cause in the morning I will do anything for another hour of sleep. I won't loose those pounds at the rate I want to without working out!!
