Hi everyone :)
My weight is totally at a stand still.. I am stuck at 222.. It is annoying but I think my TOM has something to do with it. Of course that is also absent.. Can't wait for Thursday to figure this all out. I hope my doctor doesn't try to push birth control on me, I don't even want it. I am sure if it is hormonal, it'll figure itself out right? Other than that, I blew my back out yesterday trying to do some workouts on the tv. yesterday I went from back hurting, to ab's and love handles hurting for the rest of the day. Now this morning it is just back to only my back hurting. I got some new skates but I think those are gonna give me blisters as well. So, we are gonna try to use some spare bikes that my parents have lying around. should be fun.. I want to push myself farther. I think the bike will allow me to do that. Do we have a recipe thread? I need to look around for one. I have been coming up with some awesome healthy meals lately.. I would love to share. |

Signed up (on 3FC) for my first 90-day exercise challenge. Eek! :) I'm looking forward to it and a little nervous all at once. Haha I am so relieved that the weekend is over!! Now I get to relax a bit and enjoy the rest of my week. I mean, I still need to practice for school, and do laundry, and clean a little, and work....ok, I know that doesn't sound like I'll have much me time. But it will be! :) If there's one thing I'm good at it's multi-tasking. Ash- I am also stuck- I'm so sick of seeing 250 lol. But it's true what they say, we hang in there, it works. I post recipes on my blog with pictures sometimes, but I know there are threads around for recipes on here. I'd definitely be interested in hearing any good ones. Quietballerina- I thought about signing up for the exercise challenge but I'm intimidated! I don't exercise much right now, but I ordered a fitbit (yay!!!) and I want to up my exercise. The fitbit was my reward for one month on plan, and a gym membership will be my next reward. Or I may just go ahead and get one soon if I get courageous. I'm nervous about working out in a crowded gym. |

Just got back on track after finals. I'm glad to meet y'all. So far, May has been a good one for me ( I know it's only the first day). I've stayed on plan and even exercised. I'm looking forward to this month. It's gonna be a good one! :)

I'm also at a stand-still...final two weeks of the semester so I'm stuck at 189.4. Ugh! Happy to have gotten into the 180s, but just BARELY there and need to drop down...still hoping for goal in just a few months! Luckily life will be must more stress free as soon as school is out!

Final weeks here too, and I'm standing still too. Well, bouncing up and down between 249 and 251. It's infuriating. And I got my lab results from the doctor, and in addition to high blood pressure, I have high cholesterol. I'm 21! Needless to say, more exercise and less calories for me. I'm taking today off because I'm so stressed and I keep reducing my calories and GAINING?!?! So, I'm eating high today (fried frog legs! I'm excited! Lol.) and tomorrow I face the scale, rededicate, and keep on trucking. Good luck to everybody in finals!

Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth again...I've been saying that a lot. So I graduate with my masters THIS FRIDAY!!! I cannot believe that I'm finally going to be done with school for good!! And I got on the scale today, and I'm back down to 140.4 :) Good luck to this with finals! In the words of one of my favorite professors: much knowledge! :) |

I wish I was done with school, but am actually just going back this fall for grad school.
Munchie: I am also doing low-carb (South Beach) and love it! It's really the only diet I have ever done and stuck to for more than a week or two. I started losing weight in April and am already down 16 lbs and am THRILLED!!! Only 19 lbs until I am back into the 100's! |

I'm really really hoping that once TOM starts I will be seeing a new set of digits since I have been ridiculously on plan with eating and I started P90X this week so I have had some hard core exercising going on. I REALLY want to run another 5K in July and shave at least 10 minutes off my first time! No better time then the present to get things a movin'. Totally another subject but I think I am going to grow my hair out a little bit since my hairdresser is pregnant. AND my oldest son has Kindergarten roundup on Tuesday(talk about an emotional mess!) |

Coming back for the first time in awhile. I have let my weight get too high and it's time to do something about it. I recently moved back in with my parents; they are interesting folks for sure. If you have a spare decade I'll tell you all about it. Anyhoo, I started doing Zumba tonight. I guess I'm not quite in as bad of shape as I thought I was cause I can still get through a 60-minute workout. I'm not sure how the other DVDs will go but I am hoping for some good results. Today's been a good day, I got baptized at my church (yay!) and my boyfriend and I went to morning service and sunday school. We also went to the mall and to the craft shop. I love to make cards and scrapbook so any day in the craft shop is a good day. This coming week is finals week, I have three finals back-to-back and then I am going to Philadelphia with my family. Should be fun. :) Anyhoo, I'm going to hit the haystack for now but I hope to talk to you tomorrow. Take care. |
Missnini- I love it! I feel amazing and I'm seeing a great rate of loss. I've also been on track since the beginning of April and I've lost 14 lbs so far. I'm thrilled! I feel just as good about taking it slow and having a solid month behind me as I do about losing 14 lbs. I've got a long way to go but I think low carb is going to take me all the way! :)
Well, today was a "refeed day" because I have an exam tomorrow and I was a little fuzzy, and I'm scared of what the scale will say, but I know it's mostly water weight, and will come off quickly. I don't think I'm going to take a lot of these refeed days because the cravings definitely come roaring back and I'm not sure I can handle them. Did everyone have a good, on plan day? |
Had my first day at work today, yay! I even went to the gym and took my healthy packed lunch. All in all, I think it went great. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same! Got the dinner cooking and my pasta ready to make my pasta salad for tomorrow, then I just have to pack my gym gear and my work bag and I am ready to do it all over again lol
Munchie- whats a refeed day? Good luck with your exam! Dont worry about the water weight, stress always makes me gain a little too, it'll come off just fine. Namaste- welcome back! BL- shaving 10 mins off is an awesome goal! But why are you growing your hair out because your hairdresser is pregnant? Is it because she is going away? I had some kind of strange image that somehow cutting long hair would be easier for a pregnant woman and realised that doesnt make a lot of sense >.< |
Took a mental vacation from thinking about food for most of last week. Getting back into the swing of things today because, for various reasons, I'm ready to start feeling better about myself. I've got major self-esteem issues and while I know that lose weight isn't going to solve all my problems, it's certainly the most obvious place to start.
I'm getting back into things about 3kg above the low weight I hit in December. I hope the weather stays nice because that really helps keep my energy up and makes me look forward to working out. |

Looks like there's a lot of us in school. Blcarter what is kindergarten roundup? munchie: what is a refeed day? Guess I'm full of questions today. :) My weekend was darn need perfect: All I wanted was a relaxing, low key weekend. I didn't run any errands, didn't make crucial plans...just spent some time by myself. Sometimes I need that to recharge. I wasn't a total lazy bum....but mostly I just tried to enjoy things. But now it's back to the grind of work and school. Boooo.... |
Lol sorry guys- refeed day is when I eat more carbs, about 200g yesterday whereas I'm averaging 30-50g. I got a little out of hand, but I only bounced back up to 249 so I'm not too worried about it.
I am worried about my French final today though- gotta go study, bbl! |

Well, the day finally came! I graduated yesterday with a BA in Elementary Ed.! Yay! I'm so glad that's over...although, I know this is only the beginning. Time to find a teaching job and get started with the rest of my life. I eventually plan on working on my Masters, but I really want to work a few years first or at least find a school that might pay for it...it's so expensive! Anyway, weight loss has been bleh. I'm up, but whatever, I'm not stressing about it. I'm finished with school and it's now time to get back on track with everything. Namaste - Glad to see you around! :) What is a fitbit anyway? |

Sgregg and Icon- Good to see you guys! I will try to be around as often as I can. :) Sgregg- Yayyy way to go on graduating! :) Well, it was a very good weekend. I did a Zumba toning workout on Friday night and it was fun but it kicked my butt! I am planning on going to some of the free classes at the rec center in my town since I have a week until I go back to summer school. :) My boyfriend and I celebrated one year by taking one-year anniversary photos. They looked really good and were not too expensive, though we had to endure a lot of screaming babies and angry mamas before we could get in to get our photos done. Either way, we will get them in about a week and will get one of them professionally framed to go in our house. :) |
Hey all! So I officially graduated with my Masters of Science and now officially am a speech language pathologist!! FINALLY after 6 years of school, I am free and can finally work doing what I love! :) Graduation went great! I had a grad party to go to on saturday which was SO fun! I had an interview at two sites this morning and they went awesome. Apparently the one person who interviewed me already emailed the coordinator back with great feedback. So this time things are looking great!
I go to the bahamas on sunday. WHEEE!!! Diet wise....it's been no bueno, but I'm okay with that right now. No need to stress myself, and when I get back from Atlantis, I will be starting Insanity. No more pushing things back! SGregg: congrats on graduating!! looks like everyone have been busy bees! |
Thought I was doing really well with my plan this week, but just checked my FitBit stats and apparently my calorie deficit for the whole week was only 948kcal! I'm not sure how that adds up, since I've had a deficit of 750kcal every week except yesterday, but it's a little disheartening. I feel like I've been on plan with both food and exercise, but the statistics (and my weight) disagree. Frustrating!

Okay, well I got my fit Bit the day I came home for holidays so now I can't set it up until we go back home! I wish I could set it up on my iPad. I'm sooo excited to use it and frustrated that I can't. Being home is hard. I'm basically just maintaining. I'm eating well but then I'll have a drink, or a slice of pizza. I feel like my grandmother, who I'm staying with, is watching everything I eat because she knows I'm dieting, and I feel like the slow loss I'm trying to be okay with, because it's best, is not good enough for my family or my doctor. I also haven't been on here and I think that's why I've felt somewhat unmotivated. I have been exercising more, and I got some Nike dual fusion sneakers today that I love. So I don't feel bad about my progress, but I feel like my grandmother expects more. Or expects me to fall off the wagon and fail like I usually do. Shes wonderful and it's not her fault, but it's difficult. Also, no one noticed my loss, but that's okay because I haven't lost enough on my frame to be noticeable. I don't even think I look any different. |

I've been "off" since before school was out and it's time to get another 10-15 lbs off. I have been drinking way too much Diet Dr. Pepper and I know it's not good for me. Veggies are almost non-existent in my diet right now. I know I can do better, and I know I should do better, but knowing and actually doing are two different things. So, I have GOT to get on here every day to get some motivation if I'm going to do this. There are no excuses anymore. School is over and now I'm just trying to find a job. I need to be taking care of myself for the self-esteem. So, ladies, I need some motivation! We can do this!! |

WELL, WHERE IS EVERYONE?!
This week has not gone as planned. I planned on getting back on track with tracking my food, weighing daily, drinking more water, etc. DD is sick today. She has an ear infection and she just feels so bad. :( I was also going to start exercising at least 30 minutes a day and that hasn't happened either. Good thing we can always start over, right? Welp, Baby Girl is awake from her nap, so gotta go! Need some updates people!!! :) |

I've been lurking. :) Nothing really new in my life to talk about. Very excited about a 3 day weekend! Hopefully the weather will be nice. A little bummed I don't have any memorial day plans. It stinks that I have so few friends here! Grr.... |
I'm so proud of myself. Ive been working crazy since Monday (When I finally said to myself that enough was enough) and I've lost 4.3lbs already! Almost halfway to my first mini goal of 10lbs!
I didnt know where else to post this.. I didn't want to make a whole thread on 4lbs.. I will save that for when I hit my first 50lbs or so.. LOL |

QB - Yes, they are awful. Now, she has developed a rash and I can't take her to the Dr. today because DH took my car to work because his needs some work. I don't really have any Memorial Day plans either...but that's fine with me. I would rather sit at home. Haha! |
Hello ladies! I haven't posted in 3 months I think? @__@ but i am back! I had almost 150 oral exams to give and let me tell you... not fun at all lol. Then I've been traveling around and currently am in Italy for 3 weeks eating the healthiest I've eaten in a year, no smoking no drinking. I'm looking at this as a mind, body and soul detox :) I feel great! I had the strangest feeling the other day....I woke up and I swear my first thought was "I'm so tired of wishing I were skinny." And it was like.. its time to stop dragging your feet and get your booty in gear! I normally eat fairly well and walk almost daily but I haven't lost any weight in 6 months and although its great to maintain, I still have 35 pounds left to go! Time's a-wastin'! Good to see my 20-somethings again!

Quiet: I had no memorial day plans either thanks to the same reason. All of my friends moved away. :( perfect: a 4 lbs loss is DEFINITELY worth a post!! keep kicking butt! abroad: welcome back! Have a great time in Italy! I went to Rome 4 years ago, it was the best week of my life!! Well ladies, I'm back! The bahamas was SO fun! Diet wise....that did not exist on this vacation. I had beach side cocktails and DELICIOUS food. There was a lot of walking though, which was good. I got to swim with dolphins, interact with sea lions, and go snorkeling! It was SO fun. Of course, being the lovely ginger that I am, I got really burnt. But that's expected...even with SPF 50 sunscreen. Sigh. I also went to the Philadelphia Zoo on saturday. I haven't been there in like..15 years! It was SO fun! I start my job next week...I can't wait! As nice as it is to do whatever I want during the day, I'm ready to start working. I absolutely love the career I chose, and I miss interacting with people on a daily basis. I also can't wait for my first real girl paycheck! No more 10 dollars an hour working as a cashier in a pharmacy :) I started Insanity yesterday...OYE. All I did was the fit test, and I am SORE today!!! But I gotta keep trucking! I'll just stretch REALLY good before I start day 2 today. I bought whey protein...it's good! I had a shake for breakfast today mixed with peanut butter and banana. My boyfriend laughed at me yesterday when I bought it because it's apparently the same exact kind that he bought. I took before pictures for insanity. For account...and well...maybe just a little for the free tshirt. I love free stuff. hahahah! I'll post bahamas pictures later on, I still have to upload them from my camera! Here's my before pictures. I really hope I see results from doing this! I know I look miserable in the pictures.
