MelodyLeigh - I agree. This was a good idea to experiment, but I think next month we should go back to posting every day.
PaintedButterfly - If I were you I'd take a day off and eat higher calories (not crazy, but maybe 2500 or so). I was at a pretty good stall right where you are for a couple weeks, and then my husband had a birthday, so I kind of relaxed and ate some of the deep-dish pizza and cupcakes I made him - not tons, but definitely over my calorie budget. The stall broke the next day. I think this has happened to a couple other people on here, too. Sometimes you just need to surprise your body into changing again.

As for me, I hit my monthly goal this morning! Was shooting for 139.anything, and got 139.4! I haven't been in the 130s for about five years, and I've NEVER been below 135, so that's my next goal. Now the trick will be keeping on-task for the rest of this month. Usually I get sloppy once I hit my monthly goal.

Congrats BigChiefHoHo! That's fantastic you've hit your goal already .

That makes sense about the upping the calories for a day or too.. cos I'm hesitant about reducing my intake more than 1500 as my average because 1500 is my BMR according to those online calculators..
Thing is I'm already cycling my calories (not in any planned way though it's just the way it's worked out plus I read it was good for weight loss). Like the last week has looked like:

But it doesn't really seem to be working (today I' down to 143.8 but can damn near guarantee I'll be back up to about 145 tomorrow).. my weight is just cycling with it I'm certainly willing to try 2500 though! Today is pancake day so shouldn't be hard :P

Edit: Re-weighed myself today and I am down to 143.6! I so thought I'd be up to 145 today. Ate about 2200 calories yesterday which is 700 calories higher than normal and seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the advice bigchiefhoho! What do I do now though? Go back to 1500 or keep at a high level? If I lose another 0.5lb then it'll be new weight loss again which I so so want.

YAY! So glad it worked for you! I always go right back to the normal low-cal right after a high day, so I'd go back down a bit. Maybe try 1800 for a week and see if your body likes that better? That way if you drop it down a bit later it'll be a bit of a shock to your body and hopefully cause a good loss.

ugh..so i did not meet my goal of being under 190 lbs...but i know what i did wrong. I did lose 9.8 lbs and i am ok with that. Just hope I can lose 10 more this month. Its going to be hard. My birthday, anniversary and a week in playa del carmen, mexico. Wish me luck!

Started at 145.0, with a goal of 139.8. Weighed in at 140.0 today, but still counting it as goal met because I was 139.x all last week and I'm pretty sure it's just water weight these past couple days. Good month!

Dulo - 9.8 lb is a GREAT month! Nice job!

Congrats to everyone who lost this month, and if you didn't.. just remember it's okay! Don't beat yourself up. You're still here, you're still trying. You've got a whole brand new month of effort upon you =)

I lost 7.4lbs this month and I'm happy with that! I finished 2.8lbs shy of my goal, I really wanted to see the 160s. I had a bunch of things that I thought would work in my favor this month but wound up inhibiting how much I lost. This week I'm losing a bunch of water weight and I shoooouuuld be at my February goal by Saturday if my TOM doesn't interfere too much. Not too shabby!
