Hahahhahaha, sorry not to laugh at you, but just when I read that I completely pictured myself! That is so true for me!

I have started eating later because I just started a new job where I often work late. Like tonight, I didn't get home until 9pm. I get my "lunch break" at work at 4 or 4:30 so I eat an actual meal then (like tonight I heated up chicken and veggies that were cooked the night before) but I can't eat again until I get home since my job doesn't allow food while working. So on nights I work late and don't have a whole lot of choice on when I get home, I eat something light, my favorite is soup (homemade chicken noodle tonight mmm) or something like a whole wheat pita and humus and/or some veggies and dip.

I actually had a personal trainer say you will hear arguments from both sides and both are valid and have "proof" so it's really up to the person and how their body reacts so while I eat later I completely see your reasoning and hope it works for you!

8pm, anything after that I feel guilty! If I work late I always make sure I eat a meal on my break so I don't come home and binge.

Like it's been said, I don't think eating late is much of an issue if it's healthy stuff. I eat until 1am or 2am sometimes and it doesn't seem to make a difference

I'm usually up until around 3am.

I just learned not to eat real heavy and go directly to bed. There have been times that I will wake up around 2am-3am and have a small snack.. This doesn't seem to affect my weight. It's only when I eat extremely heavy and go right to bed

Thanks for all the post & advice ladies

The hour of eating doesn't make a difference for weight loss unless it's encouraging you to binge at a certain hour or something...

Husband and I eat supper anytime between 5pm and 11pm at night (sometimes it can be as late as 1am!!!) Basically we eat when we're hungry and if we end up having a very late breakfast and lunch... supper just gets pushed back.

My problem is if I eat too near going to sleep I get heartburn or feel too uncomfortable to sleep... so that could actually negatively effect the weight loss if I'm not getting enough sleep at night.
