12 Weeks to Take Off!!!
Our old thread is nearing 500 replies (and hence about to get closed). So I created a new one here. I plan to start another thread for part II of the challenge soon.

I wanted to thank everyone for making this such an amazing challenge. Out of 40+ people who signed up, you guys stuck with it to the end. Everyone lost at least one pound over the past 3 months. You should all be proud. The support from and success of this challenge has helped me immensely in many areas of my life beyond weight loss. Thanks again. Catherine ---------------------- Congrats to our Season MVP petitefleur and all the other award winners. Jumelle - you've been the picture of "tortoise" weight loss. I seriously thought I made a mistake in putting the final chart together. In looking at your stars, I couldn't believe you lost 10+% and only made the dean's list once. Great Job!! Also I left Blondie160 in because she weighed in last week and posted in the thread a few days ago. I know she's around. Hopefully she'll pop up and give me a final weight. I'll see you all soon ;) |

I'm going to continue with the "Week 13" discussion. Just got back from jogging 2+ miles outside. Hopefully soon this wont make me get rigamortis in the morning. The longer distances are making me so sore. It's a good sign though, means I'm getting a workout. I'm attending a family gathering tonight with crabs/cakes/booze/junk food. I plan to be good, I hope I don't overindulge. Trigger foods always get me. |
Woo hoo i can't wait to start the next one, this time we are over the over-indulgent summer season, which i know shouldn't be an excuse but so many birthdays/weddings/ hen parties etc serious alcohol and crap food..
week one back on track and down 6lb today from last Saturday i am well chuffed.. Scarlett fair play as always chart looks super, well done on the run, i'm pool side now for the next while, i ripped a muscle and will take months to recover so no C25K for me for awhile :( . Best of luck with later, i find trigger foods serious test my willpower... Also i got a mention above :):) cool.. talk about a push on... ok hope everyone has a good weekend :) |
The charts look awesome, Scarlett! ;) Can't wait for the next round since I loved how much the last one kept me accountable to others and myself.

Scarlett-I hope that your trigger night is manageable! I think those charts look awesome, you must be a software wiz to be able to put those things together!
I am super excited for this challenge, I just finished my first round of Insanity today :D and I am starting Round 2 + running/weight lifting also. I am hoping to be at goal by the end of this challenge. Thank you in advance to all the lovely ladies in this challenge for being so inspirational and motivational! Thanks for keeping me on there Scarlett but I suck at keeping accountable! I am going to post my final weight tomorrow but I think it will only be a few pounds loss if that! I would love to join in the next one but I am on holiday for the first 3 weeks of it, maybe I will just join late!
You all did amazingly! Im annoyed that I didnt stick to it because those 12 weeks went so quickly, I could be at goal by now! |

Blondie160- I'm going to have the week 2 deadline (9/8) as the cutoff to join. You could join and then go "On leave" for 4 weeks.

Love LOVE LOVE the new charts!!! I like that you have the on leave tab, and the google doc system to let everyone post weigh-ins that way. Makes it easier to manage. Just a tiny suggestion...can you alphabetize the names? That way it's easier to find them. I didn't want to step on your toes as I know this is just the "sign-up" sheet and it goes in order of time the person sign up. Anyhoo...YOU'RE AMAZING! So smart! I'm SOOO EXCITED!!! By the way...my week 13 weigh-in... 152.0 BOOOOO!! 2 pound gain! 4 pound difference from my 2011 "low" weight (of 148.0) I want to get back down to 148.0 as much as possible by week 1 baseline weigh-in. That is my goal! Everyone: What is your baseline goal for week 1? |
Just a side note to everyone. I'm sorry I forgot to post the link to the new challenge over here. I figured everyone would just see the new challenge thread since its in the same forum. FassGal told me she needed to stalk my profile to find it. So I updated this thread.
Having the original original thread fill up right as the first challenge ended made things a bit confusing. For the next challenge I will start a new thread around week 9-10 if theres a chance of it reaching 500 to avoid this craziness. But people keep joining and screwing it up (though this is great). Once We have our group and are set. It'll stay alphabetized. I'll re-do it now. I also really like the spreadsheet. It'll make things a little easier. I weighed in today at 199.7 (up ~2.5 lbs), some is prob water weight. The past few days have been rough. I hope to be at 197 for Baseline. Last challenge I think the first 10 pounds or so were water weight because I wasn't already dieting at the start. Also I ate like crazy the 2-3 days before last baseline. This challenge I want to start at 197ish and not eat (that much) the day before. This way I'll know the weight I'm losing over the course of this challenge is straight fat. |

I am so upset with myself! :mad: I was lax about IF'ing and working out after my last weigh-in, and it shows on the scale. This morning I weighed in at 174.8. I couldn't believe it! :( I hopped on and off several times, and the weight on the scale jumped around, but more times than not it settled at 174.8. That is a 6.8 lb gain. :cry: Well, I know what I must do, so I'll do it. I just had to vent! I'm so happy this challenge is starting again.

I bet a big chunk of that is water weight. One pound is 3600 calories. I seriously doubt you consumed 6.8 x 3600 extra calories in a week. The extra eating probably reved up your metabolism. The bloat will go down and the rest should come off easily (due to increased metabolism) if you get right back on track.
I'm down to 195.2 today, my lowest number yet. At the wedding things sort of heated up between a college guy friend and myself. I've had a thing for him for awhile. Anyway I've been in lala land ever since, where I need to remind myself to eat. This is just what my stalled weight loss efforts needed :D |
