Losing Focus!

I'm going insane!
I'm losing my focus, and I don't know what to do!
I haven't lost more than like .4 or .6 in the last 2 weeks or so and my inches lost has decreased in the last month...
I think I've hit a point where I'm getting discouraged!

QUICK! Someone Slap me out of it!:(

Oh, honey, it just sounds like you're in a lull! Look at the bright side! At least you're losing some weight! It is better to lose, even if only .4 or .6 at a time than to gain .4 or .6! Just stay focused!! Don't let something like this bring you down! I had a lull for about a month where I lost .8, gained 3 lbs, and then .4! I was SOOOO upset, but I turned my frustration and disappointment into my fuel and the next week I lost 6.8 lbs!! You can get yourself back on track too!! I believe in you!!

Also, are you working out? You could be building muscle, and this could also be a reason for your low weight-loss. Muscle is leaner than fat, but weighs more! So if you're building muscle any fat you've worked off may not be apparent on the scale. :)

Yeah I still work out regularly!
Thank you so much for the support!!!! Ive gotta wake myself up snd get out of this!!!!

I'm having the same issue, everytime I want to give up I think about how far I've come. I've only lost 15 pounds but I've gain a little bit more confidence :) I've just started he zig zag method of calorie counting, praying that I can ahake my body from this 4 week plateau.

Keep up the good work, your looking great

I'd like to second this recommendation. Calorie cycling is a really good way to knock your body out of a plateau while still keeping yourself on track.

You can do it!

What is the zig zag method of calorie counting?

Yes, please share! And I agree with what the rest of the posters say Milli, in the long run, a few -.4 or -.6 equal up to a LOSS no matter what! Keep at it girl!:carrot:

@IsobelRose & @elizabethyellow: Try the calorie calculator located here. Scroll down for calorie cycling options.

Essentially, zig-zag or cycling calories means you're eating a different number of calories each day for an overall loss. It's designed to give your body a break on some days, and work a little bit intensely on other days.

I would say that you can do this, but nevermind that, you are doing it! It took me a long time to realize that weight loss isn't linear and your body doesn't always do what you want it to. Switch something up, give your system a little shock. Try the calorie cycling, do a different workout, a harder workout, something to wake your body up. When you feel like you're losing your focus, connect with all the reasons you want to lose weight, all of the things you want for yourself. Feel them happening, imagine yourself having them. Then go do whatever you have to to get there.

*(gently) slaps you out of this!*

You can do this! Slow loss is still loss - and if you're exercising, too, that muscle gain could be combatting your loss (at least on the scale). You're doing great (already more than 20lbs down, that's awesome!) - just keep looking ahead, it will all be worth it in the end! :-D

Agreed! Everyone has slumps like this, and while getting through them can be difficult and annoying, it is always worth it! You've done a fabulous job thus far, and while your body may not be cooperating with you right now, it will!
