Stuck in the 220's...
It seems that no matter what I do, I am stuck. I've been here for about a month now. I'm starting to feel very discouraged... At one point, I weight 218 but now my weight bounces from 222 to 225. Grr.... I feel like I'm trying really hard and not seeing any results. Blah.
Anyone else stuck? Any tips for getting to the 210's? Sam |
You'll see that quite a bit around here. Right now I'm stuck at 189. My body really loves the 191-188 range, and no matter how I seem to trick it, it'll pop down to 187 one day and then say 190 the next even though there's no conceivable reason for that to happen.
I got stuck at 205 for a while too -- not nearly as long as the month I've been at now, but I started C25K and my body was so shocked that it was forced to run, that I dropped 6 pounds in 2 weeks. I hadn't run anything more than a few steps in 8 years, so it worked for me. The general wisdom is that you have to shock your body, but if rearranging your diet isn't doing the trick, I would try an exercise that your body really is not used to. Hope that helps. I'm stuck in the 230's so no advice except to change something up: food intake, exercise, something to give your body a "jolt" and make it work even harder, translating into more weight loss...HTH

I think I'm going to start taking some sort of class. The gym I go to offers a few different ones, maybe I'll try them out and stick to one I really like.
