Hey are there any Summer 2011 brides out there? I am getting married on July 9th and still have a few pounds to lose before the big day! Only 80 days to go!! :carrot:

i'm getting married may 21st, one month from today. i guess that makes me a spring bride...

July 17th
im super afraid that ill be self conscious on my wedding day. 15 more pounds to lose before than, and its so hard to stay focused! My fiance needs to lose about 10 pounds also (for the army) but its difficult to get him on track with what is healthy and what isnt. not to mention doing it all while going to school full time, working full time, and trying to plan this wedding!
question, do you ladies have your invitations out already? My mom and future mom-in-law are freaking out because i dont have my invitations out yet (i just dont have the time right now). But i've still got 12 weeks til my wedding, wouldnt it be too soon to have them out already?

Haha. I understand about the busy thing.. I work full time, school full time, have a 1 year old who has to see a physical therapist once a week, AND trying to plan a wedding on top of weight loss SUCKS! I have not sent out my invites yet.. I was thinking the 3rd week of may. To give about 6 weeks before the wedding.. Is that too late?!?!?!

What are everyones colors?? have you gotten your dresses?? I get my dress altered the 24th of may and I'm scared to death i will look HUGE on my wedding day next to my 130lb friends.

100percentME - I got married last summer and I read a bunch of etiquette books, so that's what I'm basing my answer on. Wedding invitations should go out six weeks before the wedding - eight weeks at most. Before that, consider a save-the-date instead.

i love the idea of a save the date but feel like its already too late to send ours out haha. we jsut got engaged on christmas and we wanted a quick but fancy wedding. (mainly me..i've been waiting a while ;) )

I got engaged on Christmas, too! Though, I really don't belong in this thread because we are waiting to get married until I'm done Law School. We are shooting for maybe around our ten year anniversary in 2013 :)

my color is dark purple (mixed with some white and black).

I'm going to jump hard core on track with my weight loss. and i feel like ive said that a bunch, but my fiance is going in the wrong direction with his weight, and i really dont want to be this weight at my wedding. and the date is drawing closer so quickly!
time to get serious :)

July 23! Okay, we're already married, but the whole ceremony-with-family thing is in July. It'd be nice to lose a few (many *hope*) pounds by then, which is to say, by the time of the dress fitting in June.

I'd love to do some challenges, but as I'll be traveling a lot before my wedding I'm not sure how consistent I could be.
