I'm still 190.7 this morning, but I had a binge Monday night because my husband has been depressed and it got to me. I'm back on track, still the same weight, and hoping to get down below 190 by Sunday.

I need some support. I've been between 194 and 198 for the last month. ive tried changing my routine and food but nothing seems to help. I hope to start a new calorie cycling diet tomorrow. Has anyone had success with this diet? if so any tips? i workout everyday and I have a trainer once a week. Any tips and support would be really helpful

I want to get out of the 190s fast. I would like to get down to 170 by July. lol It's so frustrating

I made 189 on the 3rd and it's been the same since so I'm officially out of the 190's

Kells629 I'm doing weight watchers but it's the same basic idea-points instead of calories. My loss had slowed alot so last week I instituted what we call the wendy plan-it's like cycling points in the way you would calories (zigzagging).

It worked for me-the resulting whoosh is what got me out of the 190's and quicker than I expected.

I'd definitely give cycling a try. It was weird to purposefully eat higher points like that but it did pay off. I'll probably go back to what I was doing before and just cycle again if/when I get stuck.

dragonlady1978- how drastic should i do the zigzagging? this is what i have so far:

Day 1- 1400
Day 2- 1200
Day 3- 1800
Day 4- 1300
Day 5- 2000
Day 6- 1200
Day 7- 1600

i did see some that went REALLY drastic which i'm reluctant to try because im not just losing weight but also gaining muscle so i need a certain amount of calories to avoid muscle loss.

thank you so much for ur help!

Not sure what your daily target is, but you're pretty tall and building muscle too....you probably don't have to go as low as 1200 for your low days. The idea is to have the same weekly consumption by dividing days in such a way that you have high days and low days instead of meeting the same average each day. For example, if your daily target has been 1800 calories it would look something like this...

Calorie Cycling:

Day 1: 1800
Day 2: 1400
Day 3: 2000
Day 4: 2300
Day 5: 1400
Day 6: 1600
Day 7: 2100

Weekly Total :12,600 (same as 1800 x 7)

Just try to make your weigh-in day in between the high days. It can be discouraging to eat those extra calories and then see the scale go up temporarily with water retention.

The specifics of how you divvy your calories aren't terribly important. The beauty of cycling is the flexibility-if you have an outing or social event you can go over your norm and make it a higher day. If you just aren't as hungry on one day, make that the one you bank the extra calories you didn't consume.

I hope it works for you

Cool

Thank you so much for your advice. The daily intake that my trainer gave me was 1500. But i was actually thinking about it later and figured out that the cycling is the usual way i eat. some days i'm just not hungry lol. i'm going to try this out for awhile. hopefully it works. thank again!

one more question: how do i put the weight tracker at the bottom of my posts?

So I woke up this morning at 189.3! Yay! I've been on the verge of being out of the 190s all this week, and I'm finally out. Pla to stay in this forum, though, until I'm down to 188 so I have a little wiggle room.

Hope calorie cycling works for you, Kells!

Whoo-hoo, Squishy and Dragonlady!!!

Am up 1lb today- 197.4lbs. My fault since I didn't work out and I ate/drank a lot over the weekend. Next week's weigh-in will be better!!

Still stuck at 193. I'm so impatient! I feel like it's been forever, but I've really only been stuck at 193 for a little over a week.

Hi all, I am 194.8 today. Hoping I can get to the 180s before real summer starts. Also dealing with some food pushers in my life, was told I 'need a pizza' *sigh* some people are too quick to assume that losing weight means you are miserable and starving yourself. I know that it is an act of kindness offering someone food but I hate the weird looks and even eye rolls that I get for politely declining.

I just weighed myself for the first time in probably 15 years and it really broke me when I found out I was 191 lbs. I know I'm only a couple lbs. into the 190 range and I have no idea how long it's going to take me to even lose 2 lbs... let alone 30-40 lbs.
