Default Goal Anxiety - I can't make an objective decision

So I've been plateauing for a while at 136-138. My original goal was 135, I just lowered that to 130 with the hopes of maintaining 130-135. It's still healthy for me but I'm fighting the demons who tell me I am still fat and that I'll never be thin and happy. I look i the mirror and see what I used to be a year ago. I'm not sure if this new lower goal is my own image issues speaking or if I really should lose some more. Anyone else feel like this? Do you worry about your goals? Am I being sizist and going too far for vanity?

Well you're 5'7 so you're taller than me but I'm aiming to be halfway or less through my healthy weight range so around 110-112 Ibs. But if I don't like the way my body looks or I feel too fat then I will lose a bit more.

Weight is just one factor, I'm interested more in muscles and being fit, obviously I dream of having a 26 inch waist and wearing little dresses for vanity reasons, but I want to be able to eat healthily and normally and I want to have a lot of energy because now I've started running, I never want to give it up. I finally get why people want to do it everyday!

You need to look at your body and decide are you happy with it? I have creases around my waist area and my thighs rub together when I walk (I've worn out leggings doing this!) I'm the same weight as you (137 Ibs) but obviously you are taller. You're doing this for health and happiness and you've already lost a lot so you need to decide where you're comfortable.

And as for the Plateau, you'll break through it eventually if you persevere, there are lots of threads from people who are going through it too, and I'm expecting to hit it soon.

6 pounds isn't going to change your life, or make you happy or make the demons go away. That work needs to be done inside your head. Maybe now is the time to check in with a therapist or get some books on body image.

You are within a healthy range for your height. Do you have realistic ideas of what you should look like ?

x2 to what seagirl said. I'm having a similar struggle lately.

I do think that a lot of the remaining work is likely more cognitive in nature, I saw your most recent pics and you are looking AMAZING!! Now it's just time for your perception to catch up with your awesome new bod
