Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Keeping on track eating at work. We have a 'candystore' in the breakroom that I have to walk by to clock in, clock out, get my healthy food out of the fridge, get to my locker..you get the point...but it's really really really hard to not take a piece here and there...

Following any specific plan: Counting calories, and turbojam right now into turbofire when I'm done the rotation of turbojam.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Wedding! I don't want to look like the Michelin Man in a dress on my wedding day! Plus my arm fat is woah heinous right now...and it needs to go!

good luck to you on your journey! quick question for you where do i find the weight loss counter at the bottom of your post?

Eye/Hair Color: Green eyes (hence the username) and red hair

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: 6 October 2011

Starting Weight: 135lbs

Present Weight: 132lbs

Goal Weight: 115lbs

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: finding motivation to work out. Saying "no" to certain foods

Following any specific plan: just making better choices about food. Being aware of calories. Adding exercise.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I want to set a better example for my daughter. I thought about giving her the food I eat as her nourishment, and it horrified me.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I don't want my daughter to pick up my bad habits, so I want to change them. I don't want her to be a couch potato (she already loves TV *sigh*). I don't want her to constantly put herself down the way I do. Also, it hurts my husband when I put myself down...he always says, "Nobody is going to say bad things about my wife-- not even her." I want to do this not only for them, but for myself because I DESERVE to feel comfortable in my own skin.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I frequented 3FC a lot at the beginning of last year, but transferring schools/my grandfather's ill health and death/life in general got in the way, and although I was eating healthy for the most part, I stopped exercising as much as I was and I ended up gaining a few pounds. But no matter... I'm ready to get back on track and meet my goals!

Hey all, I just joined to feel a little less lonely in my weight loss

Geographical location: Rochester, NY

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: Today, officially!

Starting Weight: 146 lbs

Present Weight: 146 lbs

Goal Weight: 125 lbs

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: making the time to get out there and exercise! I don't think my eating habits are really terrible, but I never, ever exercise anymore...

Following any specific plan: Trying to eat only fruits, veggies, lean meats, and whole grains, (no pizza, hot dogs, etc.) but I'll allow myself two "guilty meals" per week. I also want to work out 4 days/week for 45 min.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I have support from you, hopefully!

Anything else you would like to share with us: I got married two months ago, and the stress of planning, moving, and finishing my undergrad just led to me gaining 10 lbs in just a few months. I had been hoping to lose 10 lbs before the wedding, and instead I wound up with a dress that didn't quite fit right! Yikes!

Present Weight: Need to buy a scale to do this right

Goal Weight: 120

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Doing it in a healthy way. Not getting down on myself. Not making excuses. Putting the time in to exercise (I'd rather sleep when I am not working 50 hours a week or taking 5 courses at college)

Hobbies/Interests: reading, singing, music, theater

Height: 5' 6"

Eye/Hair Color: blue/grayish / brown

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: 10/24/2011!

Starting Weight: ~203 (from when I weighed myself at home about 2 weeks ago, can't find my roommates scale in our apartment!)

Present Weight: 203

Goal Weight: 140

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I love food, like, so much. It's a central thing with a lot of my friends too (I grew up in the suburbs where there wasn't much to do, so we always just went out to eat). It's going to be tough resisting temptation. Also, now that winter is fast approaching, it's gonna be tough to motivate myself to leave my apartment and get to the gym!

Following any specific plan: just calorie counting and working out

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I'M SICK OF BEING FAT! That's the most major one, but I'm also motivated by a certain boy I'd like to impress back home, and by my mom who was diagnosed with breast cancer over the summer-- she's struggled with weight her whole life too, and I know it would make her really happy to see me finally achieve this goal.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I'm so glad to be here! This environment is so supportive, and I think it's gonna be a big help in making me not give up this time!

Occupation: SAHM

Pets: nope

Hobbies/Interests: reading and The Sims 3, yeah they get me into trouble

Height: 5'7"

Eye/Hair Color: blue, bottle blonde

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: 12 September 2011 is when I started watching my diet, but I had been working out for a couple of weeks before then.

Starting Weight: 206

Present Weight: 192

Goal Weight: 150

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weight loss: My husband is military, so when he's gone I'm kind of a single mom. That doesn't make it easy to stay on my eating plan or keep up with gym time. I also have PCOS.

Following any specific plan: Low cal and lots of exercise!

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I feel more committed than last time. Our finances are also better. It's really hard to go to them gym when you can't afford the gas to get there. And Ramen 3x a day isn't really healthy eating.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I am going to start training for a marathon soon. The Wichita Marathon is run in October. However if I get pregnant I will stop official training, but I won't stop my exercise and healthy eating. I gained 60lbs with my last pregnancy and only lost 10lbs in the months after his birth. That won't happen again!!

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: 10/27/11

Starting Weight: 285

Present Weight: 285

Goal Weight: 165

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: For me the biggest hurdle will be sticking with my plans. I reach a certain point when I diet, usually a few months in, where regardless of how well I'm doing, I get bored and give up.

Following any specific plan: Not really. I'm trying the 3 day diet for the next couple weeks because I'm going to a wedding on Nov. 11th, but after that I probably just going to go the normal diet and exercise route.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Well the major difference is this website. I haven't been a part of anything like this before and I think it will be a great help to have this support system. I'm also setting mini-goals and rewards (an idea I got from browsing around here) so that this uphill battle isn't so steep. All in all I'm really excited about this, which isn't something I could say about my previous diets.
