Hey LBLAZY!
So this is only my case but I'm actually a health sciences major in school (I've been interested in the medical field my entire life.) and through my classes and through this whole journey I come to realize my true calling, if you will.
Each organization has differences in emphasis and has their own requirements for certification so you would have to check them out and see what interests you. The most widely known are ACSM, ACE, and NASM. Depending on your location you can also go through a personal training school such as NPTI which has locations in many states. I know a lot of personal trainers through my gym that studied at NPTI and theyre wonderful.
Each certification will provide you with the same basis, with minor differences in perscription and recommendation.
My college personal training classes teach ACSM guidelines so that is the certification I chose to recieve. You don't have to take any classes (although I believe they are available) if you just want to buy the books and study on your own and then you take the exam. Depending on if you have a degree (and in what) there are many other fitness and health related certifications available through ACSM (and I would assume the others as well, but like I said I'm ACSM trained)
I say that if youre interested in the field then go for it! Congrats on your journey btw! We do have quite similar stats lol
