213???? Seriously???
ok guys! I woke up and weighed myself this morning and im up another 2 lbs! Im currently 213! I gotta say i was pretty mad at myself for gaining even more weight. I had pics taken of me riding my horse last week and i looked freakin huge! Even my parents commented on my weight :( i feel so fat. I was gonna wear a skirt today and noticed how my legs look....i changed into jeans! So this calls for drastic measures!! Im gonna start living on soup and running a mile everyday! Lol ahhhhh

Well considering you're height, it might be a case of you not seeing the "real you". I know parents can be SO damn scrutinizing because I've dealt with it myself.
All we can do is move forward though, so hang in there! |
If it makes you feel any better, for the past week I have been gaining a pound one day then losing it the next, then gaining it back the next day. So frustrating....:( I know I have to just keep going, I just wish my body was more in sync with my mind :D

I did that too a few days ago. Stayed away from the scale for a few days, and pow, it went away again. Don't let it get you down, keep going!!

That happened to me too! I was 215, then 212, then 215 again, and now I'm 212 again. Hopefully I'll stay there this time though....

thanks everyone! I just feel so disgusted with my body. I mean wow ive got a huge gut and thighs! Im not even gonna wear shorts this summer unless i meet goal! I am mad at myself for letting myself get so big.

Its funny how each of our bodies looks good at different weights. I am 6'2" so I am just a tiny bit taller than you and my goal is 190 lbs. When I was 160 lbs in high-school, I was skeletal... I was severely anorexic and completely unhealthy. 190 on me is skinny/thin. Actually, at your current weight, I am pretty happy with my body. It is funny how a lb can look so different from one person's body to another.

See if you can get you body fat measured. At my gym (curves) they have this little machine that you hold and it tells you your body fat. So sometime when I don’t lose much weight I’ll still see a change in body fat, and that make me feel better cause while I may not have lost much that weight that week I am at least replacing my fat with muscle.

We all have lost ourselves over the years for whatever reason and allowed ourselves to become as big as we are. It's life it happens, all you can do is forget about the past, stop being so negative on yourself because that's one thing thats going to affect this change in lifestyle you are about to go on. Your mind is your worst enemy and can very much alter the way you look trust me on that one. My mom made a comment about my weight and I remember her saying "How could you get so big? you know you shouldn't be so lazy" it wasn't an eye opener I had already known I was a fat ***, my eye opener was when my relationship failed and I was stuck in my own personal ****. Parents say the darnest things because they think we need to hear it or that it will help us along the way, some people it'll push them to move forward and other people make that stepping stone backwards.
Don't obsess over the scale, and start drinking lots of water if you haven't you'll find in the beginning the weight is going to shed off as long as you keep your water intake up. Good luck! Let people around you do the negative talk about you, allow it to push you to the limits to prove them wrong...but do not put yourself down! |
