It occurred to me that I had been using the 2 pound weights instead of the 3s as suggested (Wal-Mart was out of the 3s when I went) and I realized that I would need the weights until and AFTER the end of level 1, so I needed to go and get some anyway. The thought never dawned on me! Since I purchased some, I decided to go back and see the difference in level 1 with them. It's surprising how an additional 2 pounds of weight will give you an extra push. I wish I had had them all along!

Also: This morning, after starting level 2 yesterday, I lost .7 pounds. I think that's about as close as a whoosh as I'm going to get.

Hi everyone, I'm jumping in; hope you dont mind. I just bought this DVD today. It was exhausting but I expected no less from Jillian. I took day 1 pics. If I see a difference I'll post them.

I only have 5lb weights and they are too much especially with the anterior raises.
Good luck everyone.

Hi Shawna! Welcome, join away!

Ok, can I just say that I remember now why level 2 was my least fave of the three levels... it hurts. My knees, my lower back and my neck. NOT a good situation. Thank God there's only a few days left, then level 3, which I like. After that I am going to try her NO More Trouble Zones. I picked it up at Wally World for 8 bucks. Anyone ever tried it? How does it compare??

If you like Shred and want to step it up you will love No More Trouble Zones!!!! It is probably my favorite/the most difficult for me out of all of her DVDs that I have!

PS- level 2 is my least favorite too

Good to know! I was already eying some more of her videos for when I'm finished with the Shred. Any others you'd recommend?

Currently I mix up:

30 day shred
6 weeks to 6 back
banish fat boost metabolism
no more trouble zones
yoga meltdown

It gives me a lot of variety and I feel like I am getting a pretty good workout from each one I am on a "gym break" right now. It has been nice to do something different!

Sorry for hijacking the thread there for a minute!

I LOVE that her dvds are so affordable! I've heard that she is currently recording more now!

Good luck with the rest of Shred girls! I have never committed to doing it for the full 30 days so I check in here regularly to see how you all are progressing!

Knock on wood, here.. but it's honestly not that bad. I'm only on Day 13 so my tune may very well change. The trouble seems to be, even though it's only 20 minutes long.. squeezing the time in around everything else. I like to do it in the morning if I can because I know by the end of my day I'll be beat and not benefit as much from it. I guess it depends on how much free time you have. I, like the self-stresser that I am, decided to do it during the busiest time of my semester. Of COURSE! But I'd say the results are definitely worth it. Glad to hear you speak so highly of her other videos as well! Amazon did too.

I am only used to working out 5 days a week - I miss having 2 days where I could get mass amounts of school work / lazy time accomplished. But I have to admit that I also love just knowing this is what I have to do and that's it. I don't think about how to change up my workout, what activity I'm going to do.. I just do. That's a huge plus.
