Turning 22 and Ready to Lose

Hey folks! Making my first post here, as I'm a little overwhelmed by all the boards! I think I'll just focus on a couple of them.

My b-day's around the bend (the 27th) and I'll be 22. Birthdays always prompt me to think about where I want to be in the coming year. I have no idea what to do in life, but I know that whatever I'm doing, I want to be healthier. So I'ma focus on that!

I have always been overweight, and have been on many, many diets. I've never lost much weight, and over the years have steadily gained. Now, at 225 pounds (did I just type that!?) I feel ready to make the change.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day, and I look forward to getting to know ya!

Welcome to 3FC!!! There is a lot of info for you to go through and pick up useful ideas to get you to goal. As for where to start, we're happy to see you here of course :) And you can also try an area that's more specific to the type of lifestyle you would like to act on to get to goal (like Calorie Counting, etc).

You can do it!

We are somewhat in the same boat. You are an inch taller and when I started two months ago I was the same as your starting weight! And I will be 22 in 3 months! If you ever need motivation, I am here!

If you ever have difficulty keeping track, you can simply subscribe to a thread under "Thread Tools". Then to come back, or check your subscriptions, you can go to "Subscribed Threads" under "Quick Links".

I've found it useful to remember where I posted or keep track of interesting topics.
