Here's an update on my costume, just because I've never tried making a costume before and I'm really excited at how it's turning out...

Here is the head piece that I just made about 20 minutes ago...





Here are my finished wings and my tutu, and the back of the corset. That's not the shirt that I will be wearing though....I'm making a black 3/4 length sleeve silk blouse to go with it. It's going to be really flowy and have bell sleeves...



I don't have a good picture from the front....the shirt I'm wearing temporarily looks awful with it so I couldn't get a good picture. I'll post one when I'm finished with everything though!

This is all for the Texas Renaissance Festival, in case anyone was wondering. =D

Thanks liliesinmycereal! They're so big that I can't walk through doorways though. I'm going to have to walk around the festival, take all of my pictures and see all of the shows, and then go back to the campgrounds and change into normal clothes before I can go shopping...because if I walk into a shop I'd knock everything over. lol. This is also my Halloween costume...and I am going to a party...and I'm probably just going to have to take them off once I'm there because they're so huge.

Can't believe I'm doing this! Baaah! But, I worked hard right? I'm not sure why my before picture is so darn grumpy looking. Oh well! Here is my progress thus far. I've dreamt about wearing a two piece for so long. I only wore it once this summer, but next summer, I plan on getting full use out of it!

Ok here is my before and after photo!

The first one is a little over a year ago on a trip to Silverton, Colorado with a college class. It was high altitude and I was in such bad shape I had a hard time keeping up with my classmates on the trip. It was embarrassing!

The second is me recently and the Grand Canyon right before we started our 10 mile hike! I've actually lost another 8 lbs since then so I guess I need another updated one! I'll work on that! The 10 mile hike wasn't easy, but I made it and kept up with everyone else! Amazing what 40 lbs. will do!

I don't mind at all. I did the "Ultimate Guide to Femal Fitness" from simplyshredded.com I swear by it! Oh, I also did one round of Insanity.
