first weigh-in! (ack!)

Today will be my first weigh since last summer. I am very nervous but want to bite the bullet! I gave up weighing myself because I was under a lot of stress at work and was really beating myself up about the number, so I decided to go on jeans size for a few months. Really helped. I am not expecting anything too horrifying, since my size 10 jeans are fitting and I look okay in pictures, but I am still scared. Here goes nothin...

Let us know how it goes! I've been trying to avoid the scale for the same reason (got too focused on the number). BUT then when I wasn't paying attention to the number I went on a crazy binge. Lol....so I'm going back to the scale. haha. Bit the bullet today...it was motivating to say the least. Good luck!

185.2!!! I am THRILLED with that #!!! I have been adding resistance training and trying to add muscle, and I am happy with that number when it's pure fat. So happy right now, thanks for the support wibble!!

Way to go!! You are so close to goal! Out of curiosity, what were you at at your last weigh in?

Wow awesome! Sometimes a break from the scale is so needed.... :)

Awesome! Congrats on the weigh-in! I agree- sometimes a scale break can be beneficial.

I very much agree, Congrats! I love it when you step on a scale after so long and see a nice loss. :carrot:

I'm glad to have taken the break. I didn't give up on eating right or monitering my progress, but those numbers were starting to effect me way too much! Going by jeans size worked really well.

Ade, the last time I weighed in I was 188. That was after a really stressful job and really overdoing it with the food intake! I went from 229 to 185 about 5 years ago, and have always stayed in the 181-185 range (with effort!) I made it to 173 about 6 months later but stayed there for all of 3 days. I've been in the 185 range for a few years now, and am finally ready to put my horns down and cross that finish line. It seems impossible but I have some hope.

Thanks for all the support ladies, you all inspire me so much and I don't think I could do this if I didn't know that other people were in this boat too!
