Every year around this time, my company does a 12-week Biggest Loser competition, with a $350 top prize. For the last two years, I had weird complications that prevented me from really getting into it (the first year, I had two grandparents pass away during the competition, and last year, I spent a crazy month buying my first house). This year, though, my schedule is free and clear, and I'm ready to kick some butt
With the weigh in today, I went all out - I wore my heaviest sweater, plus a jacket, plus my glasses instead of my contacts and as much jewelry as I could get away with without looking crazy. I also had a big breakfast and have been pounding water like crazy all morning. As an added bonus, I'm seriously retaining water from TOM and sore weight-lifting muscles.
I got on the scale and it said 198.8, compared to my scale at home which said 181.6 at the beginning of the month!!!
It was pretty traumatic - even though I know I don't really weigh that much, that's close to my highest weight ever, so seeing the number on the scale is weirdly difficult for me.
Now I've got to get down to really eating healthy and exercising so that a) I don't have to see that number again, and b) to win that $350!!!
