gnc is a bad choice
I feel so hustled. I went to GNC for protien powder. Bad choice. They pressured me into spending like 40 dollars. Im going to take it back. I'm so irritated. Next time I'm shopping online for that stuff. I later did research and found out they make commission. They went after me cause I'm fat, I'm guessing at least.

When I saw the title I had to laugh and then come and read!
Don't feel bad, it's not because you're fat, trust! They do it to EVERYONE. Turns out their multi-vitamins are NOT even the best ones out there or even close to it! You'd be better off going to a local vitamin store. I feel like every GNC employee is trained to hustle you. My boyfriend loves their protein powder but it got to the point where he just began ordering it online so he doesn't have to deal with the actual people in the store. It's BAD! |
Yeah - GNC has some serious sales minimums on particular products that they apply to their salespeople, so even when they're making recommendations, they're making them based on what they need to sell that month, not on what might actually work best for you. So if you go in asking about the best protein supplement, and they are targeted to sell X units of the GNC-brand protein supplement that week/month, that's the only product they'll show or recommend to you. They push the vitamin packs HARD, because they have to sell a certain number each month. They can be written up or otherwise reprimanded if they don't sell enough of the targeted products.

Yeah I stopped going there a while back. Last time I went to a store like gnc I was pushed so much to take pills to make me "go" even though I "go" 1-2 times a day. I didn't but them but I was like dude you guys are nuts.

GNC is a bunch of bologna. I always felt way too pressured when I went there back in the day. My boyfriend is working towards his Dietitian degree and has done lots of research on various products and GNC products have no "proven ingredients." There are a lot of better protein products out there- many customized for women.
BSN Lean Desserts are amazing! They aren't good for your everyday powder, but are so awesome when you want to curb a craving. My favorite is Cinnamon Roll! |
Boo GNC. Their products are full of additives and GMO soy protein anyway. Go to your local health food store and buy something organic. You want to be putting good things in you, especially during weight loss because it is very hard on your body. GNC is the McDonald's of vitamins. Actually it's more like the Kwik-E-Mart.

yeah okay I'm glad I'm not the only one then. And I could see the vitamin thing, because after he pushed me to buy their brand powder, he tried to push vitamins too. I went back to return the stuff and it was the same guy there and I was like hahah where's your commission now? In my head. Never going there again.

I would have to agree with BSN lean dessert, I've tried practically every protein powder and BSN (along with AllMax) are my #1's. I believe they are often on sale online at bodybuilding.com as well. GNC can be quite the ripoff, my husband has a gold card so it's not as bad but it's still a lot.
