Where has January gone? I have a feeling this year is going to pass incredibly quickly. Do either of you have goals for this month? I only want 4 or less off plan days for the entire month. (thanks, girls, for reminding me not to beat myself up. that's a big fault of mine) I'd love to make it all the way to the 19th on plan, but let's not forget my track record.

As someone who is recently single, all I think of when I think of February is Valentines Day....and then I get myself all depressed.

SO, instead I will try to think of how awesome January was for my weight loss and how different I hope to look by the end of February.

My goal this month is to up my exercise. I workout 5x a week usually, but I want to get a better routine for strength training.

On the plus side, I ate SO much crap with my then boyfriend last year on Valentines day.....less temptation now.

Wow! Yeah, January went super fast for me too. It was an emotional growing month. I'm still waiting on responses for the last of my law schools and am steadily getting even more anxious. I think my goal for February will to just be patient, only eat sweets once a day at the most [yeah, most people don't have that problem. but you know...], and to be at a "normal" weight. This means 9 lbs in a month. I think I can do it.

rainbow I know right?! it went so fast. I need to catch up!

fatmac that sounds like a good goal for this month. My goal is to try and eat well during the week and maybe have some fun on the weekends (within limits)

somethingnew912 welcome! I think your Valentine's this year will be great!

[Bredliss7][/B] welcome! Good luck on your law school stuff. Also I know what you mean about the sweets...i have a major sweet struggle! Lets both get to a normal weight.haha. Unfortunely I am not as tall as you so that means a lot smaller for me

So things are still going rough for my daughter. I am super stressed and ate several godiva truffles. I always think I can be moderate and buy stuff and then eat them all at once. I know this but still do it and then exercise hoping to nullify it. Which it does but that means i just maintain instead of loosing steadily. I know I can do this but I am just sooo stressed. Story of my life. sigh

fatmac I don't really have any weight loss goal as such, kind of numbers in mind but they won't worry me too much - more than anything, I need to get back on track with exercise in a big way - I am being far too slack with it at the moment.

somethingnew I know Valentine's is bigger in the US because those things tend to be so commercialised that everywhere you go there is Valentine's stuff everywhere - but just try not to think about it! It's just another day. Treat yourself to something nice if you want to, but don't worry too much about being single or whatever. I'm sure you can achieve your exercise goals this month!

redliss Hope all the law school stuff goes ok! It can be stressful waiting to hear about those kinds of things. Good luck with your goal to get to a normal weight!

sun Sorry about the ongoing stress I still think you're wonderful for getting all the exercise in!

~Speaking of exercise, I need to do it! It's so hot this afternoon and just hit 5pm. I went out for lunch and a bit of window shopping with my cousin, and right now I know I could go exercise...but I don't know what to do! I am a girl of a million excuses, and I'm angry at myself for letting myself get away with it!

sun Oh man, hang in there. Hope you get some good sleep and that your daughter does tonight as well.

Tiffany Hey there! If you just started in Jan, a lot of what you lost first could be water weight. Keep on keeping on and you will see the scale move again! What are you doing to lose the weight?

~So I didn't exercise last night, and I meant to get up early to do it today, but I snoozed my alarm and slept 2 hours past what I meant to. It's now just after 10am, I should go exercise. I think I'm bored of my dvds I have at my parents house, and my mum made a huge mess on and around the treadmill - like seriously, can't even see it due to boxes and boxes of stuff. I know, I always have excuses. I think it's partially due a little to the depression I'm feeling at the moment. It could be partially PMS, it could just be depression ... all I know is that I feel like doing absolutely nothing. I am going to exercise though. I AM.

Same here. I keep seeing all these Valentine's Day advertisements and it gets me all sad and depressed. *sigh* Oh well. I'm just going to focus on going to the gym a lot and hopefully I'll lose 10 lbs. this month!

Surrendertolis: I keep turning my head everytime a Valentines commercial comes on....it's almost over lol.

I made a stand towards achieving my February goals today! I did my first strength training class at my gym today and OH MY GOD it was hard. I have never seen my muscles tremble so much...I have never felt so close to fainting lol. But it was totally worth it and I felt great at the end. I'm hoping to do weight training on Wednesday and Sunday. That should give my muscles enough repair time between sessions.

I can't even imagine commercials about Valentine's - either I don't notice them, or we don't have them, and I'm guessing it's more the latter!
